For me, I always fly with the map screen open at full zoom in - meaning NO animation. this is what I use when mining / moving stuff / missions or even pvp.
Just interested - do reply with one/some/all of the following numbers depending on your usage:
1. I use trinity gfx always
2. I use it in stations
3. I use it in normal conditions alone <travel etc.>
4. I use it in missions
5. I use it in pvp
6. I use it in fleet fights!
7. I use it even when I have multiple clients on.
This would probably help the dev's in knowing where their eye-candy that took an year of dev work is used.
Also dev's if you are reading this, please give an align to option in the selected items pane <Or change the approach button to align to> - this way I don't have to go to the animated screen at all.

I use it allways, as it runs better, then with the old gfx for me. Unfortunately still without Anti Aliasing

I haven't noticed a really huge difference between the two but the new egine does seem to be nicer. I am using the new graphics but my computer is kind of old...

i run it allways... on my pc and my laptop
on both i have shadows high and AA and AF set to 8x (i dont use HDR because i dont like how it looks)
it runs better for me than the old client (i get lots more FPS out of it) and new models looks better anyways :P

1,2,3,4,5,6,7 though i do turn shadows & hdr off for pvp.

unfortunately my pc doesnt like the new engine so i use the old one.
its not my pc specs that are the problem, the new engine crashes regularly whereas the old one doesnt. which is a shame as the new graphics are fantastic. hey ho, i will just have to wait for it to be made more stable on my machine before i use it.

NOTE: You cannot run an old ENGINE! You can only switch from old 3d-models and textures, to the new ones. The engine is the same for all content-versions.

New graphics look worse. Opinion, but it's mine.
New graphics takes ages to load grids.
New graphics crash my machine twice a night.
Old graphics now run slower than new graphics, and certainly slower than they used to.
Old graphics don't crash though.
Fanboiz keep telling me to fix my 486.
However my "486" runs Crysis at 1680x1050 at full graphics options just fine, without crashing, the helpful fanboiz don't seem to have anything further to offer.
So no, not impressed with the new sub standard crash graphics. And frankly rather concerned that when ambulation gets here, the client size will grow again, and the bugs will grow with it.
All because they sold out to the Americans and are being forced into gloss and varnish rather than worrying about that fiddly "gameplay" thing.

1. I use trinity gfx always
... however in large fleet fights I reduce all my settings to the minimum, disable all effects and sound etc. like with the classic client. The same goes for multi-clienting if I'm doing something important on one of the accounts.
It runs a little better then the old classic client but personally I would still have preferred an optimized client (e.g. performance and stability) instead of a new graphics engine.
All the cool graphics in the world simply can't hide the dismal performance of the EVE client (even on my machine that can run any new 3d game without any problems). This tells me one thing: CCP didn't do their job the way they should have.
I can still remember all the blather in the devblogs before the patch.. "performance" was named as one of the primary goals of the new client... all i can say to that is epic fail. 
Gfx are ok now though.

Since i installed the classic client again i have not used the trinity graphics at all, why?
1) The Navy Mega actually looks good on the classic client.
2) Running multiple clients.
3) I might run into PVP, and it performs better.
