The bet arose from a noob player stating that they gained 1 billion in a month, or something like that. A BRAND NEW player would not have the expertise to identify the purchase for 1000 ISK and reprocess etc. You are using all your skill and experience built up over time to beat this challenge, I just doubt a truly new player could do it. Either way it will be a good effort if you do!

I gave myself a disadvantage to start by having such a crap character for the job. That's gonna be the hardest obstacle I cross I think. There's tons of opportunities for me and I even have the available capital now but just don't have enough order slots. I will make do with what I have (and can train). Implants will be a likely addition soon tho.

I have a lot of respect for Ricdic, but having attempted this myself twice (although not under race conditions) with a 10m float, I don't think it can be done with new player skills within 4 weeks, unless he is extremely lucky with the final 500m when he casts his net for the bigger fish. My guess is he'll hit the half-way point and stumble at the end due to time constraints. So, for fun, I'll offer 100m that he doesn't reach the 1-bil target, if anyone fancies the 1/1 bet? He autopiloted several jumps into low sec where, sitting AFK on a gate, he lost his Ibis. I sincerely doubt I could turn 5k into 1B in a month but I have faith that Ricdic can pull it off if he really throws himself into it. At large values it's definitely possible to double up 5B in a month, if you really pushed things you might even be able to triple it but it would take quite a few hours per day, at least 1 alt and significant transport skills so I don't know how you're going to pull off anything over a billion without some spaceship command skills. 5% Mining & Manufacturing Implants
