A fleet comprised of NOTR, OSS and Kudzu pilots destroyed an Aeon class mother ship piloted by Gen Maximus of Morsus Mihi. The event took place 03:20 EVE time in Pertnineere (Region: Solitude).

clearly this month is a month to be forgotten by MM...they'll bounce back...next month i hear theyre planning an alliance wide mining op. Only acceptable ships will be mining motherships

Used to be we just lit our cigars with carriers...now we use motherships and jump freighters. Life is too good. 
First it was..."carriers...the new battleship."
Now it's "motherships, the new carrier..." heheh...
Ah well...I came back from giving my kids a bath to find it was going down and I way out of position to do anything but listen on TS to the last few minutes. Sounded like we did actually get some people there, but not quickly enough to be of much help.

Ah well...I came back from giving my kids a bath to find it was going down and I way out of position to do anything but listen on TS to the last few minutes. Sounded like we did actually get some people there, but not quickly enough to be of much help.
Yeah, we were at first excited because the MOM went down and we had the Chimera that came out to remote rep tackled -- thinking we were going to get a carrier or two as well. Then another cyno popped, and local nearly doubled. At first we were warping everyone out, but then we realized that our Dread was still in siege, so it was back to protect and save the Dread. We were finally able to get enough jams on the right carriers for the dread to warp out after he got out of siege. In the end, we lost a few BS's, and a couple frigs that lagged on the gate and died to gate guns. Incidently, if you attack the flashing red MOM, you don't get flagged, you attack his fighters and drones, and you get global criminal flag.

I can confirm my raven died to the carrier fleet well after the mothership was down. Better my raven than the Dread. Either way, that was a heck of a good time, went from popping fighters and drones in a drake until we had enough to actually make the Raven dps worth while. Torp change ftw! After dying, went and grabbed a falcon and helped jam carriers that had a shot at the scram, with some help from other guys, it all turned out well!
GF guys, that was great.

Was curious about the fitting, so I took a look at the MM killboard. Some interesting things about the MS pilot:
2007-11-17 01:01:00 - He sits in a Zealot.
2008-01-17 02:13:00 - He sits in the Aeon.
That's one hour and twelve minutes between that. Looking at his earlier kills he seems to mostly fly a Vengeance. I havn't spent alot of time browsing through, just checked some recent kills, and I can't find him piloting that Aeon anywhere.
First time in the ship? Was he moving it? Parking it?
Curious about what happened.
