Wow the alt rage over CCP tossing a player a bone is rather sad.
The person was popped fair and square and our guys got a legit drop in game, verified.. Tibbs and Co did not rage when CCP contacted them about it and said they needed to remove the Enigma. Instead of crying Bull**** and screaming T20, they accepted it for what it was and were given a small token.
Had they been asshats about it is fair to say they would have gotten the finger and not much else. 2 PLEX is not something like a T2 BPO, but I guess there will always be rage because sometimes good things happen to someone else instead of "me" all the time. |

Ok, I have a story for you:
Somewhere, deep in the abysses of the internet, lies an old official faq, now unreachable because of the new website, where CCP say that Jove will become a playable race. No man could find a copy of this faq today, but if you lie on the burned ground of the old EVE-O and listen closely, you can heard the voice of the old, whispering story of madness, old memes and sometimes, they whisper what you are actually looking for.
I won't bet my left arm that they will actually do this someday, but they are :fearless:, maybe they try to keep the jovian door open.
The Enigma don't have a really impossible-to-get skill (as polaris frig, who have itself as a prerequisite), it is just Jove frig which can be seed when/if Jove are made playable.
My guess is they just don't want to let the Enigma in player hand because it's way too OP and could be playable if the jovian were relased. I think that if the loot had been a Specter (Jove rookie ship) or a Wraith (Jove T1 frig), CCP wouldn't have take them back. |

Nah it's about precedent. I don't care what they get... but I do care about the rules and the "sandbox". Since CCP took away that ship and gave them little in return, going forward it just says "CCP can intervene and take your stuff if you do something cool that they didn't anticipate." Now obviously this is rare... so rare in fact this is the first time I've ever heard of CCP intervening in this way. ...but it just seems kind of lame from a sandbox perspective. Specifically, it tempers the "universe without bounds" premise of what they are selling. I just don't like the way that was handled. ...but to be fair it could have been worse. At least they got the verified kill. From where I stand there isn't any rage... just a s*** aftertaste in my mouth. That loot was worth over 100 bil.
