I would invest that ISK into my capital BPC copying program. Probably buy more researched BPO's with which to copy. With the end goal of selling BPC production packs. (Currently at 1 Carrier BPO, and the BPC's for Freighter production, but no freighter BPO.) |

hehe... Odds are 90% of the people in here are bullshitting, and those that genuinly want to
develop a industry corp/system are probarly not good enough at to warrant the 20 billion.
My expirience with most people with "grand plans" and good intentions are that they are useless sods that
cant figure out how to get a reasonable profit scheme. The 20b will probarly be invested
in BPOs and they will spend the next xx years barely breaking even. Each time ive quizzed selfproclaimed
industry wiz's they have little to no idea what the profit margin are vs time spent, and they would be much better
off NPCing in the belts.
As soon as you hit 1 billion in wallet, that isk should double itself rather quickly if you have any real vision.
As some said in this thread, either keep the isk for whenever you return OR give it to some ingame friends that
you trust/corp etc. |

If I had a few billion I would start up a new character (RL Money being Tight or else I would have just done this already) and spend it on research skills and more passive skills to create things like Blue Prints and etc. Then what I would do is then sell them at a fair price and recycle the money over and over. Then what I would do is start offering a learning program through You Tube on Tips and Tricks as well as learn many things myself have been MIA for many years and coming back into the game.

I am not a newbie in EVE but I am definetely quite a new member of EVE universe for a year.
What gives me the greatest interest is to make some evident startegical shift in EVE galaxy.
As far as I know the main top of the most powerful alliances is mostly the same for very long time. There are French-German, American and Russian alliances and inside of them everyone knows who is who.
So - my idea is to explode the balance. If there is only one true Russian alliance like Red Alliance - I will rise the banner of new one that will launch the greatest civil war in EVE. If people try (reasonably) to make alliance and corps from "the'same'lang-speakers" i will bring multiple langs within one organization and will try to elaborate new unifying protocoles. Whatever they are - I will find a new way for old things...
To make such a thing i need lots of investments, i need to prepare ground even for my first corp novices.
So - 20 *** would be a greatest Reserve Fund for future imperialistic shift within EVE.
I guess as soon as I get my task I would leave EVE. But for now i still have this active longterm idea - explode the balance of the map, shift the very existence of the whole social bodies... |

Ok, about all the altruists in EvE, hell no... 99,9% capsulers in this game not even know what that means!
About metagaming... In-game is evident, however it really shines in these forums, I am sure the OP is aware of this, in some threads is just amazing how you can tell who is what and why!
CCP's plex for xxx, its all great, however when someone makes a business out of it... well I tend not to credit that someone so much, it makes even worse when said someone keeps pointing the fact that it is not making profit out of it, that does not mean they are doing anything wrong, I just don't believe anyone spamming the forum with their non-profitable organizations, that is just my own point of view.
As far as some others begging for 3rd party corporations... It's either metagaming or plain simple troll, I'm leaning for the first, if any corporation wanted the ISK they would post about it.
OP asked how would this ISK change anyoneGÇÖs way of playing this game, in all of the above mentioned situations it won't change anything, if one is already helping others, having more ISK will keep them doing the same, so, no changes in their play whatsoever.
What would I do with the ISK? Start a corporation, I don't think its difficult to figure out how that would change my playing in EvE...
I apologize for the wall of text, wish the OP all the best and whoever gets the ISK may they have fun using it.

I have about 2 bil in assets, only a few hundred mil in wallet. And I have a good plan laid out to accomplish my goals. I do not need this money to get there. It will just take me a good 6 months or more to get there on my own. This money would get me there a lot sooner. I have the details worked out and will make good profits with enough margin to handle market fluctuations.
As I said in my last post, I will turn this nest egg into an even bigger egg, and once a get stable in my new venture, pass in on to another worthy entrepreneur.

Since I am the only one doing it, you are clearly referring to me.
Your post is completely uninformed and unfair.
1) The charity was closed, I received a kind 3rd party donation to explicitly push me to reopen it. Else it'd stay closed.
2) Seen on a personal perspective it's a noticeable time sink and by its own charter it cannot EVER turn in a profit. Just setting it up costed me 2 months of time and the web servers don't come free either. Preparing the proof of PLEX delivery costed me 2 RL weeks. And this not to look funny but because doing this operation not only delivers no profit but CCP perma bans you if anything fishy happens. Developing the NEISIN software to distinguish the funds costed me 2 RL days + installing all the Visual Studio stuff just for it.
3) "Someone makes a business out of it". Never made 1 penny out of it, not even in crass "management fees" like every RL charity fund makes. My services ALL pre-date the charity even by years.
It's actually been a liability because when I had almost 100B in donation people started telling me they were fearful about letting me hold their collateral with that big hulk of money already on my shoulders.
4) "Spamming the forums". I think there are all of *4* threads about it in the new forums at all, including the charity's own thread that did not even get bumped once.
They were not "spammed", because 1 thread (made by another poster) inquired about EvE Philantrophy and so it's fitting. Second thread is this thread, where a guy asks for where to donate his money and this is in topic. Third thread where other people were saying they got bored of EvE after getting rich and I just said that the charity was a motivator (in topic). Fourth thread is its own announcement thread where I reopened it (evidently in topic).
5) "spamming the forum with their non-profitable organizations". This forum is spammed by people cross posting about their penny auctions, is spammed by scammers whose organizations are not exactly profitable (for the investors that is), is spammed by tinfoil hat and scare mongering threads. This forum can survive 1 more organization that actually does what it advertises.

I would start a new industrial corp for new players. I would buy some BPO's for research and invention and I would get new players involved in the industry aspect of Eve. Have them take turns in different roles such as POS fueler and POS defense designer. I would make the BPO's available to them to create items and show them where to buy and sell at entry nullsec systems. I would use some of the cash to buy ships that they could use in pvp activities so they would not be afraid to fly into lowsec and go hunt a few pirates down. After they spent a few months in the corp, they should be ready to leave and do whatever they want and know how to be self reliant. |

I would save 2 billion for my self and give it all away to noobs, 200m a pop. I did this when i made 5 bil after exploration came out, i knew i would be leaving so i started giving it all away
Im now back after a 2 weeks, I sold everything i have to try and buy a plex (most of my stuff was in 0.0 in a player owned station). Borrowed 110m of a guy(thx SgtGoodEnd) i still owe cash to since i was on the 4 hour for plex, now im trying to make some cash in 0.0 exploration to play the game properly.

My goal with earning money has always been to be able to afford the ships, accounts, friends or whatever else it would need to make Eve related videos. Maybe a story-driven series, themed fights or anything else that seems people would enjoy. |

20 bill would sit in my wallet for at least a year as i pondered the possibilities endlessly never really spending much of it aside from my usual needs.
pick up a few BPOs here n there and constantly look to the future for what to do with the rest. i dont think i could spend 20 bil outside of capital BPOs.

Nice initiative !
Two options with this money for me :
- I'll create a fund for bot ganking. A very organized Corp which spend time to hunt and destroy bots everywhere in New Eden. The 20B will be used to buy ships and give them to my mates to do so.
Or
- i'll create a trading Hub in an isolated region with Jita prices to open a fair market to people living in this region.
You tell me what option do you prefer and i'll do it. Both are motivating to me.

Right, here goes nothing.
I started playing EVE a couple of years ago and I feel like I have taken a wrong turning. Like most people, I started out playing the tutorials, running a few missions, mining a few asteroids, and so on. But then, instead of jumping in and enjoying all the things that EVE has to offer, I discovered something disappointing about myself: I'm much more risk-averse than I thought I was. When I say risk-averse, I really mean it. My character is still in the NPC corp he started in because I was too afraid of being ripped off to join any of the player corps that were recruiting. In all that time I've rarely left high-sec for fear of being ganked, and as a result my PvP experience is next to non-existent. In fact I think it's fair to say that my level of interaction with other players in the game is next to non-existent, which is pretty sad really, especially as I'm not the typical loner type. I spend almost all of my in-game time sitting in a station, reading local and fiddling with my spreadsheets, and when I do go into space I find myself scuttling from one NPC station to another hoping that nobody spots me and decides I might be easy pickings. The stupid thing is that I have the ISK and the skills to buy and fly quite a range of ships, but I'm too afraid of losing my hard-earned money to actually do so. It's pathetic, I admit it, and frankly I am bored. Bored to the point of feeling I may give up playing the game at all.
What I'm looking for is a chance to change all that. I have started a new account and a new character, and I want to make a fresh start. I want to go out there and take risks. I want to join a player corp, train skills to have fun instead of to make money, fly out into 0.0 space, pew-pew with other people who want to pew-pew, pod and get podded, maybe get scammed if I'm unlucky but not worry about it too much. In short I want to enjoy EVE the way it was meant to be played. Now of course you could say that I should do this with the my own money, and of course you'd be right, but in practice I know it would never happen. I know because I've tried starting a new character before, but because I was still trying to play it with my own hard-earned ISK I quickly ended up falling back into my old ways.
So, here's my "bid" for the money. I promise to go out and play the game. I promise not to waste your money but to enjoy it. I promise to play EVE with internet spaceships and pew-pew and other players, not spreadsheets-in-space all on my own. And hopefully by the time the money eventually runs out, I will have found a way past my risk-aversion and will be able to continue playing with my own money, instead of hoarding what I have like a fool while I watch everyone else having fun.
