Hello,
My corp would like to offer our first corp lottery.
I talked to a few friends from way back, and have secured a loan so we are now able to offer a carrier of your choice!
Our purpose is to try to fund a few BPO's for our new corp and if all goes well, there will be more lotteries down the road to help fund a few larger BPO's. Our current goal eventually will be to purchase a few cruiser BPO's as well as some ammo and random modual mods. Our current goal for the next 6 months is to have a bi-monthly lottery to eventually fund some BC BPO's.
But enough of that, here is the deal:
The lottery will be for a Carrier of your choice
Tickets will be 20 million each. and there will be 49 tickets. Please send isk to me (Jamanda) along with the number you choose and I will place your name next to the number. Also feel free to post here because that will bump the thread up 
Hopefully we will lower the price in the future, but even friends want interest 
The winner will be picked via the bonus ball in the UK National Lottery on Wed the 23rd of January 2008 to avoid any issues.
All of the tickets must be bought by then or the lottery will be pushed to Saturday the 26th of January and so on. If tickets are not all bought by 3 weeks of the January 23rd drawing, all money will be refunded.
I am hopeful that this will work out very well.

Not as far as I understand. Most of the big lotteries are heald here because they are selling something for minimal profit.

Once again, I reiterate the fact that the hardest lottery is the first one because you dont trust the person, but again, I will say that everything will go down as planned.

Thank you for your remark, let me derive what profit we will make:
Cheapest Carriers on Contract:
Archon: 745 mil
Chimera: 745 mil
Thanatos: 850 mil
Nidhougger: 850 mil
Now, I'm assuming that people will end up picking the most expensive carrier on the contract so they can turn around and sell it, so they ask for a Thanatos, sell it, and buy whatever other carrier they are looking for.
So we make 980 mil - 850 mil = 130 mil
Plus We have to pay 10% of the profit to the friends who loaned us the isk to afford the carrier, so that brings us to:
117 mil profit off of the lottery. Wait a second, didn't that guy say 300 mil? I don't see it. He was very well informed!
I have tried to make this lottery as fair as possible to the consumer as well as give us enough money to accomplish corp goals. In looking at the profit, we will be able to afford about 3 cruiser BPO's and some random other cheap BPO's.

Your right, this character is an alt who is holding the cash so I can keep track of it easier. My main is triman247
My corp is alright with a third party holding the isk/the ship for the transfer. The only thing is that the winner must pay the fees, however much they may be as again. we are making minimal profit already.

I am not the one to make a decision about who will be the third party as I do not know much about the entire service. If the winner chooses to use a third party, wether it be you or anyone else, I will take it up with them and then take it up with a person who we can both agree on.

We're legit, You shouldn't worry about scamming because we really dont have a reason to scam and ruin a new corp before it even gets its feet off the ground.

If we dont make any progress on ticket sales by next Wed, Feb 6th, I will be refunding all isk back to the ticket buyers, and I will hopefully get a different lottery scheme working. I dont really think that carriers are all the popular after the recent nerfs, so I will work towards a different, more likable prize.
I would hope that the current ticket holders will once again buy tickets for the new lottery.
But it is not over yet. Still selling tickets hopefully we can still get this thing up and running.

Alright,
I am refunding all isk right now. I think there are three reasons why this lottery didnt work.
1) People dont trust other people until it has been proven. Hopefully I can get positive posts from people I sent isk back to soI can use this as proof of trust.
2) Carriers arent that popular any more. I might try a black ops or a marauder or a dreadnaught for the next lottery.
I hope everyone who trusted me the first time will trust me again and buy a ticket or two to the next one. For the people who saw this and didnt want a ticket because it wasa carier, maybe something else will interest you. For the people who thought this was a scam, maybe you would be more trusting if you knew I sent all isk back like I said I would.
