Was on an alt and noticed several corps doing the undocking port jetcan blockade in ammold. This is a rookie system and unfortunatly has the 5-7k from station default undocking bug.
[other stations are at zero meters when you undock]
This has gotten out of hand, and is the same activity that forced CCP to remove the rookie training plexes. If any mercinaries out there are bored, here is a list of the guilty. [ those i witnessed TODAY ina 15min timespan.
13carpathian wolves ticker [FU-2] (all class as you can tell from ticker)
MIsfits Enterprises [MFE]
Revelation 22-20 [rev22]
As this kind of conduct drives petential customers away from game its not something we should condone.
If you need funds/ fees for these please Eve mail me and ill take care of them. If you feel like taking these guys on free of charge that OK by me as well.

I thought cans were immaterial now (you can fly through them) so how exactly is it a blockade? What exactly are they doing? Can flagging newbies?
They have said before that some forms of harassment / griefing against new players is forbidden. So you can always try filing a petition for harassment and see what they say.
Also I think they said to bug report the stations that are like that.

If they are 'Can Baiting' in a rookie pilot starter system, then it's petitionable afaik.

they are using a mix of jetison can and small standards. Can baiting in belts... leaving unlooted belt rats and cloaking is one thing. Setting up a sea of can at the undocking port of rookie station and tempting them with goodies... is quite another. They also fill local with smactalk humiliating any rookie they pop.
Take it to a belt.
These guys were petitioned, but i think they need a good war dec as well. Seen too many griefers coppy/paste GM warnings in their BIO as a badge of honor. GM's scolding them not going to stop em. War dec will give them something to think about. So again, pro bono or send me the fee lists.

Bring corpies, lots of corpies. Dock up your ships, one undock in a rookie ship, takes the bate, gets popped, then everyone else undocks and reduce the griefers to space dust. |

there's no point in wardecing people like this. They will just dock up and stay docked. It's a waste of money.

If you see this going on as a decently fitted player, just take their cans until they attack you and then kill them. Amazing how fast they get the idea.

You should not give advice with so little knowledge about aggro mechanics. Blowing up your ship will not flag the griefers to your corp.

That's about how long they have left of docking sickness after you switch ship. And this they know quite very well indeed.
They typically fly reasonable tanks, and pansy damage, with remote repping trial accounts.
Additionally, I only know 2 players in all of Eve who smack talk harder than can baiting perimter hugging docktards.
As for wardeccing them, it's always a good idea. If you can make them dock up, you can help remove the people in the corp who joined on the back of smack talk and a false promise. They need rescuing... guidance. Sure the corp leaders will remain resolute in their goal, but the foot soldiers, whose misfortune was meeting these people before any others need your help.

Actually, not even 30 seconds. You redock in your pod, try to jump in that nicely fitted bigger ship and...have to wait 30 seconds.
By the time you undock, their docking timer is already over and can redock whenever they please.

I find the best tactic (and a quite profitable one) is to just get in a powerful combat ship with a strong tank, and repeatedly steal all their cans. The only way they can stop you is to attack you, and that will result in swift death. If they do manage to break your tank, you can always just use their own tactics against them and dock up again.

Sometimes I grab one of these station bait cans while I'm in my cerb or nighthawk. Funny... Nothing happens after I take the can. Then again it's one less can for a noob to get themselves in trouble with. Not that I really care.

grief the griefers, this is the best strategy by far
can baiting in noob systems is petitionable, and i know that if you get petitioned a few times for doing something that deserves a warning eventually you get banned for a while so there is only that much newbie griefing you can do before you lose your play rights

Well there are plenty of other ways to grief n00bs that aren't petitionable. I spent all night in Gallente space stealing un-anchored cargo cans and selling them back to their original owners. Made for some very interesting chats.

It should be pointed out that all the wrecks you saw that we killed we're from corps that we have pending wardecs with. Not one of the noob wrecks we're our's. The Rupture that was ours.

Alright listen carefully and quit whining. Please FOR THE LOVE OF GOD issue a Wardec. Instead of whining, do something. Can's are not bait. I plainly advertise we're looking for hard targets to pop. Some bit some dont, either way you get a WARNING when you pull from a can, the fact that you get this warning with 5 maybe 6 ships sitting right there with the SAME CORP TICKER should be a give away that you're about to die.I've got 3 active wars running at any given time and WELCOME any frisky Merc corp, and or alliance to join in. Our WT's hide for a reason. Someone... please put me in my place... please?

but outside the ammold station? all your targets just happen to be there right?
most the new guys dunno what they are doing at all, but you sound crazy tough anyways... and hell they do get a warning, link your kill board mate, am dying to look.

Come on guys, they are new players.
It's probably some of their first trips into space and they don't know how to use the ship/interfaces yet.
I doesn't matter how much you think "space is a dangerous place" or "they'll have to learn", there's nothing fun in getting blown up on your first trips.
They'll just leave the game altogether and then you've gained nothing.
Unless your ultimate goal is to reduce lag by keeping new people from joining the game.

I have a directorial meeting later today. I'll check up on providing them with another declaration of war. We have a few noobies in our corp that I need to train anyways. Good learning experience against crap players.
