Has anyone ever done this mission? I have to mine a material called Green Arisite and I can find no mention of it in any database online. I'm not a miner, and this mission was give to me by a caldari navy command agent, so I tried to decline it but when i did the next mission she offered me was the exact same one. I even went to another agent who was command and he offered me the same exact mission as well. Any help at all would be appreciated, thanks.

Edited by: Durao on 18/01/2008 17:00:23 I've done this mission before. Green Arisite can be found in the encounter location of the mission (I think it may be a mineral that is just for this mission only). It should pop up on your overview. You will have to kill off some npcs before mining. I just fitted my combat ship as usual, except I used one high slot for one miner module. The mission doesn't require a lot of this Green Arisite at all.
You may have bad luck when it comes to rejecting missions, but don't fret about it. The mission's really easy. Don't worry.

Edited by: Alowishus on 18/01/2008 19:19:22 I did this mission, it was the first mission every L3 agent I went to offered. What you need to do is go to the encounter in your kill ship, it's a nasty spawn, and kill it off (took awhile in a Drake). Then go back in a destroyer with a couple ming lasers and some guns (because rats spawn in the belt like any other belt) and I had the Green Aristite in 2-3 cycles with only mining L1. Not a big deal.
If I had a Raven instead of a Drake I would have just fit two mining lasers to it and done it in one shot.

Green Aristite is a variation of Gneiss, so you can put that on your overview to make it easier to spot. _______________ Pwett CEO, Founder, & Executor <Q> QUANT Hegemony

What he said. In your mission details you can right click the icon for the "Item" and add it to your overview. This will add the type "Aristite is a variation of Gneiss", so you would right click and "add Gneiss to overview"

An alternative is to go to the sit e ina drake with 5 mining drones, kill the NPC and then set the drone mining.
Keep an eye open for rat spawn as they love to kill mining droens and if you lose a loaded drone you need to wait till the next DT for the ore to respawn.
You will need a drake for 2 of the missions in the story (they are almost all combat missions).
2 mission (if I recall correctly mission 3 and 5) require you to kill a drone mothership, but you will find on site several neutralizing towers.
Every tower you kill will spawn a new group of drones.
So doing the mission with a active tanking ship, especially a ship using cap to fire too, is hard.
With a drake with a semi-passive tank and good but not exceptional skills I was capable of doing the first mission even if I did draw extra aggro killing the towers (had to warp away 1 time), the second mission I was more careful killing 1 swarm, then 1 tower, then repeating till the end, and never got under 50% shield even if I was costantly a 0 cap.
