I am pretty sure they've said multiple times that they have no intention of invading Delve once they secure PB. MC and KIA have both stated that once PB is secure they'll be available for contract again. So not sure why people keep thinking they'd be invading delve. A quick look at the in-game map and setting stars to display by sovereignty shows that BoB has only 3 systems remaining in PB. From what can be garnered from kill boards and posts here TPAR has turned into a game of POS Tower ping-pong where the Tortugans/Superfriends reinforce towers and bob repairs them and vice versa.
On the Fountain front I knew RK and SMASH were there but I thought MH and BRUCE were there to? Are they not engaging in the battles in Y2? Seems silly that you'd have 2 huge anti-bob forces in the region and not be having their assistance in sieging Y2?
Goons, judging by various kill boards seem intent on dying to just about everyone in the area, Bob and "Tortuga" forces both have numerous goon kills on their kill boards. Evidently Tortuga is also more interested in roaming into stain and paragon soul than aggressing BoB in delve (though they seem to do that too but not as often) which lends credence to their "we're not really on any side in this war" stance.
BoB seems more than happy to be on the defensive as you don't see many offensive type kill board postings on their kill board though you do see a few. Perhaps they too are being honest when they stated early on in the 'fortress delve' discussions that this is exactly where they want to be right now? With constant pvp delivered right to their doorstep? Who knows.
Well for one, you have certain MC people actually saying they want C3N. Presumably because its 'too close' to PB, or whatever. Mostly its just Mynas and the genuinely anti BoB crowd within MC. On the other side you have people who probably just want to go back to contracts and be mobile again like the MC of old.
Right now they are stalling for time and hoping that it does all the hard work, which is pretty much until a point comes where PB is no longer a priority for BoB. MC can then afford to try to leave PB and do something else. But I think that is one of the more naive ways of looking at it, because it assumes that BoB is already dead. In reality, a full invasion of PB is only a matter of timing and choice on BoB's part. Very good for them, because its a closer conflict against different and overall better players.
I think they just got to a point where a lot of them want to play space empires. Their vets got tired of entering and exiting wars in a meaningless fashion, and their newbies know nothing else. The northern shakedown probably beefed a few egos and alleviated traditional concerns on whether MC could do long term sieges. Now, fighting for a home has more value than easier access to resources. So, eventually the former group will win over the latter I think. Seleene is too interested in being a figurehead to go back to doing mickey mouse stuff. They should make a new alliance name though.
