I think people buy isk with gtcs from chinese sweatshop workers and then tell everyone they made it in Jita. Jita is not an isk generator, but you can lose a lot there if you believe all those liars !!!
Its worth noting I have always made far more ISK ratting and PvPing in 0.0 then I have on my T2 BPO, T1 BPO's and Trading put together. I can often times make as much as 20 million ISK in a couple of hours and while many people claim to make far more, anytime I have ever called someone on it (gone out with them to prove it to me) they have not only failed to do so, but fallen short of what I am able to do on my own in my own little secret 0.0 hideaways.
The morale of the story is this. Don't believe them, don't believe me.. go out there and find out for yourself what is and isn't true. I think you'll be suprised to find out the difference between the TRUTH and the presumed truth.
I didnt think id see someone else writing what i was thinking (well i think the t2 bpo isk printing thing was true before invention). Basically people completly overstate how much isk they can make doing somthing in eve. People claiming 100 mil an hour npcing are full of **** if thats an average.I npc with a carrier alt assigning fighters to me and still only make 20-40 mil an hour(if you include salvaging and looting) that is per active npcing character ofcourse if i npc with 2 or 3 characters at once in different systems i can make alot more. Only way you can make more then that per hour with one character is if your insanly lucky and pretty much chain office/faction spawns. This is assuming npcing in a very low sec 0.0 system. No doubt some wise guy will post how im not doing it right but its pretty much impossible to make tons of isk fast through any kind non-player mechanic since CCP design it to be averaged the same. Oh and chaining battleship spawns every 9 seconds used to make far more isk :P
Best ways to make isk in eve ive found after 3+ years are to have your finger in multiple pies, by this i mean have characters getting datacores (this helps for every few months to check in) while pvping and hoping to get lucky with loot. Mining can be good for isk making if you have a comp that can handle alot of accounts since if your running 4or 5 accounts with a roqual involved then you'l be making alot of iskies. Risking alot too mind.
