I have the same issue. Here is the Windows Event Viewer message I received when the client crashed in the middle of a fight the other night. I lost a very expensive fitted Nighthawk, go go gadget blue.dll FTL. I looked 30 days back, the game has crashed with this exact error message 15 times. I will be posting every fing time this occurs going forward to assist CCP in motivating a fix for the issue.

Edited by: DRMALIKIA on 31/01/2008 23:39:34 Edited by: DRMALIKIA on 31/01/2008 23:37:15 So you guys will love this one: Here is my current situation.
I was in the middle of a PVP battle when the dreaded blue.dll crash smitted me down. I took it upon myself to petition the loss in "Reimbursements". I provided the Windows Event Viewer Log that correlated with the game logs with an exact matching time date stamp, showing the blue.dll error occurred right as the game magically closed. The Reimbursement GM I dealt with stated that since they had no proof of the game crashing, I would need to contact technical support, and they would deal with the issue. So I went to the Technical Support Petition and provided them with all the same crap I gave the Reimbursement people. I got the same answer. This GM states I need to go to the Reimbursement Petition and they can help me out. I am like what the F***! Do your departments ever speak to each other? Let's play pass the DRMALIKIA around game until he is good and ****ed off.
What gives? I have proven what happened, provided all this flipping information invested hours of my own personal time trying to fix their Client Game error just to get sent on my way with my tail between my legs? Screw that. So what if we are the minority, we are paying customers and our issues should be addressed as if we were their only customers, period, end of story. If my issue is not important enough to be addressed then I guess my money is not important to you either. But, we are important and we all pay our dues. I don't know how many times I have had the cut and pasted response "I'm sorry about all the troubles and I wish you a speedy recovery. Thank you for your patience." I understand CCP is busy with all of their customers whining about this that or another thing, but to loose something to a legitimate coding problem I have no control over, and then to be told to have a happy day and much joy, hope things work out, blah blah blah. I just find down right insulting and condescending.
I would prefer you (CCP) to own up to the problem, have some balls, and not say sorry for once but do something about the issue immediately. I know CCP can do it, they have done it in the past. I just wish the service was more consistent from all the departments. One week you guys blow my mind away with how much faster you respond to things, the level of customer service you show, then it goes right back to being crap. Welcome to the roller coaster ride that is Customer Service. It's like playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded revolver. Click bang. Somethings just never change I guess.
Thanks for listening guys, I know you are all suffering as well. My rant is over.
DRMALIKIA waiting for his Nighthawk to reappear in his hangar since 24 January 2008.

Originally by: OrangasaurusRex I am in a similar situation. Recently, I started getting strange performance errors. Every 6 seconds my screen would lock for 2 seconds and all sound would cut out(including winamp). I was monitoring my cpu usage and it was as follows. For 6 seconds Eve would use 100% of my cpu and then fall to 0% for 2 seconds, and then jump back into 100%. No other process was using my cpu (virus scanned/adware/spybot found nothing). I then started getting crashes associated with _trinity.dll. After a particulary hard crash jumping to a station I can no longer open eve. The trinity screen pops up and eve crashs after trying to load the fullscreen menu(_trinity.dll).
Did anyone else notice cyclical stutters like this and/or is unable to start at all?
Try this program while you are running EVE, both of these are decent monitoring tools that can assist you. I have noticed that my 680i chipset does that exact same sound crash you are talking about. It is a PCI bus latency issue and won't be fixed by NVidia. But I have found that my chipset works correctly when it is very cool, or at least cooler then it was. If my PC case cover was on, it would lag my PCI bus out every time. Now I just leave the side panel off, no issues.

I am glad this issue is so important to CCP that they do not even have time to respond to use on the issue they are working so hard. In fact they are working so hard that all the bugs will be fixed in a reasonable amount of time and all parties will be reimbursed for their troubles.
Ooh wait, that was the ***** talking, CCP would never do something like that. lol blue.dll Error CCP FIX IT ALREADY! |
