Well, in response to the Cap relay nerf, I think it is time to give these guys some love. Armor **** got alot of love, its time for sheild ****. First off, the are pretty much USELESS to battleship users, prolly cruiser users also, prolly FRIGATE also. The reason: They use medium slots and they suck. They are not 'worth it' to use up a mid slot.
My suggestion is that it needs to be low slot, they will be USED if they are a low slot. I myself will try them out when they are changed.
You take Armor Hardners, they are low slot, why arent sheild hardners low slot? They have pretty much the same stats.

you mean the medium slots that harden by 15%? the ones that don't take cap to use or something else? If your talking about what I am then yeah, good idea.

Maybe the motivation behind this was that the Caldari are the main shield geeks, and they have the most mid slots available, and not that many low slots.
I'm all for moving them to low slot, however.
Ciao, Aronis!

Welp, im a sheild geek and I have found no use for them on a Cruiser OR a Battleship. Whats the point really, its actually a waste of a medium slot in my opinion, rather just fit a Tac sheild or even a Cap recharger. They will be more usefull as a low slot now that Cap relays are being nerfed. ---

while we're at it, let's move the Armor plates to mid slots.
i mean, armor hardners use low slots so what's the use of plates in the low slot ______________________________________________ Hellmar > sorry for the attitude, playing a n00b character through the current state just left me a bit bitter dev chat: Mar 18, 2004

TQ is full with worthless mods.
... and why the armor hardeners are low-slot? isn't that obvious? how good would amarr ships be to armor tank if armor hardeners were medium slot?

If you think Armor tanking is so easy, then show me a good armor-based loadout for an Apoc which does not run out of cap to soon and still deals good damage. Will be difficult/impossible to find ...

well, shields do have tactical shield modules which give you decent protection... they come at a cost, but so do armor hardeners... reason why shield stuff is mid slot is because caldari ships have lots of those, reason why armor stuff is low slot is because amarr got enough of those... it's all logical if you look at it.
Your 280mm 'Scout' Artillery I perfectly strikes Sansha's Scavenger, wrecking for 264.3 damage.

When you tank you are not suppose to good damage, thats the whole offense vs defense idea. The more offense you have, the less defense you have. The more defense you have, the less offense you have. "I'm comin' for ya, and Hell's comin' with me!" |

If you think shield tanking is gonna be that easy, give me a shield tanking setup for a Raven that deals good damage at various ranges.

neither a shield nor an armor tank is supposed to be a high damage dealer... again, it's about balancing offense vs defense... you can't have both.
