I believe that the Damage Control doesn't have any stacking penalties associated with it. However, you can't use more than one so it's alright. That's why people tend to use the Damage Control over a third EANM.

damage control is also the only mod you can fit on your ship that gives a resistance bonus to your structure. it also requires almost no capacitor (well, so little a frigate won't even feel it). DCU also gives bonusses to shield and armor, but not that much, it's mainly used for the structure resistances

Actually it's also found in passive shield tank builds as it's just about the only low slot item that juices shield resistances up a bit. Other than that you'll pretty much only find a single shield power relay and some PDS'es in the lows.

The reason i am asking is for my Vexor I have set-up on low
MAR II DC II Endergised Adabtive Nano Membrance I (working on skill for 2 atm) 1600 tungsten roll armor plate.
So I wanted to find out if their was a conflict on them. This set-up is more on PVP on PVE I use 2 hardeners depends the mission and the rats i am fighting instead the nano and DC.

But to correct what other people said, a DC would have a stacking penalty with regards to it's shield/armor resist bonus if you use modules that also give shield/armor resist.
The way stacking penalties work is that certain attributes to a ship are stacking penalized. In fact, most are. This includes, but is not limited to, shield resistance, armor resistance, ship mass, rate of fire, ecm strength, etc. If you have two mods that affect one of these attributes, they will be stacking nerfed.
Hence, the shield hardening bonus from a DC will be stacking nerfed if you use it with shield hardeners. But it's armor and structure bonuses will not be affected. Conversely, if you use it with armor hardeners, its bonus to shield hardening isn't affected.

This is false. Damage Controls are an exception to the normal stacking penalty on hardening modules.
A Damage Control will always decrease the damage that you receive by the same percentage, regardless of how many other hardeners you have fitted.
Other hardening modules will have decreased effectiveness if you use more than one of them.

Edited by: Saerdna16ID on 22/01/2008 11:41:10 Thanks guys much appreciate your answers. I was actually thinking get an amrar blue whatever is called whcich is 22.5% resist in all (which does not require more skills) and swap the DC 2 with a second either MAR 2 if fits or SAR 2.
However not sure how will do when both AR are active on my ship powergrid. I got 2 cap recharger ii and so far never had issue with it but with 2 AR active i can see having problems maybe i can replace it with a medium cap booster one fo them.
Need to do some testing see how it behaves.
