I am a designer on the Playstation 2 game: Grand Theft Auto.
Needless to say they don't let me play eve at work and keep me locked up in a room of death so I can come up with countless ingenious ways to kill a man.
In all honesty, i spend my day killing people in game, blowing **** up and throwing tantrums when my the programmers or artists can't keep up with us designers.
Not a bad job, although between GTA and EVE, I don't get much time for anything else other than a bit of sleep now and again.

Well, I'm a software designer for a large-ish Swedish-Finnish computer consultant. Currently working towards the once-prosperous telecoms market, and still doing rather well business-wise.
Also good fun most of the time, but a distinct lack of Eve-time schelduled. So I have to make do with the forums during breaks. Time to have a serious talk with my boss, I guess...

I'm a student. It's my last year at Grammar school so next year, grades permitting, I shall be going to university to do Computer Science. I'm currently studying Biology, Physics and ICT. ICT is too damn easy and Biology is also pretty simple. To put it into perspective for you, last year in my ICT exam+coursework I got 291 marks our of a possible 300. I got full marks in the coursework that most people seemed to fail. This year, all I can say is ICT is a sure A and there's nothing short of me not handing in my coursework or turning up for my exams that are likely to change that outcome.
Biology is pretty easy. I got an A last year, which accounts for half of my overall grade. I will be coming out of this with an A or B unless I really mess it up somehow. Physics, on the other hand, is where I'm slipping up. I need to do fairly well this year to get the grades I need for level 1 entry (standard entry level) Computer Science and I don't think I'll get that, so my plan is either get in at level 0 if they offer me it or I can take a year out a resit Physics. Computer Science is the only course for me.
I've only recently started playing Eve on the request of a friend who talked about it so much that it sounded just too good to be true. Without even getting a 3 day trial (my friend apparantly didn't know about those) or ever seeing the game being played, I got a friend to download it and signed up with my dad's credit card. I could get my own credit card, but the last time I went to get a bank account, they told me I didn't have enough identification to prove I existed, which is slightly disturbing. On the plus side, I don't have to worry about a credit card since if I had one, I'd probably run up a pile of debt impulse-buying things. Well, I probably would be more sensical than that, but I don't get one just in case. My bet on Eve payed off - I love the game.
What do I do outsiude of Eve besides school? Sleep, mostly. Before finding Eve, I still spent a considerable length of time on my computer (the same as I do now) per day. I always find something interesting to busy myself with and usually I don't have enough hours in the day to fit everything I do into them. School cuts considerably into my time, taking a good solid eight hours or more off the clock - including travel time. For the most part, I idle on IRC and visit a physics site which is very interesting and simple. Check it out: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/hframe.html
I post in an online art community called Gloves and Holly, which is one of those small, nice art communities for all sorts of art, though it seems prdominantly a cartoon or manga style rather than realism since most of us aren't that good. I take on the role of giving lengthy art criticisms where I can and they are usually well accepted, so it's worth it. Let's see.. What else do I get up to? I play some Diablo II at the weekends when I get some spare time. It was my game of choice before Eve and I still play it every now and again. I rarely, though sometimes, play Master of Orion III and dispite the people who complaina bout nthe game being unbalanced or such, it is entirely moddable and you can slow down research rates if you want and such.
I don't go out at all - Unlike people my age, I don't drink alcohol and don't have a good time being out with a group of people. I do, however, like to go to the occasional LAN party organised by some friends for basically just a few of us, which are held at someone's house and last from two days to a week or so long. They are more frequent over the summer since there's no school to interfere with the ammount of time we can spend and I must admit, we haven't had a LAN party for a very long time. I must organise one over easter or ask about it.
I have a minute left in which to post before lunch (I'm posting from school where, miraculously, the eve online forum isn't filtered), so I will finish this now. ^^

Heh. I had some time to kill and a little more to kill now. I think I'll head on over to Gloves and Holly, providing it isn't filtered in school, and post some critique.

Darn tootin'. My typing speed is matched only by the number of typos I make! To be honest, I think about as fast as my maximum typing speed is and once I get going, I type pretty much what I'm thinking, putting in correct grammar and such subconsciously. It's all those years of typing english work and such that just lead it to be a habit - and what a good habit to have, eh? It's more like thinking through my fingers, at fast typing speed. It's the kind of thing that you do without thinking about it and if I think about it, it doesn't really work and I slow down again.
I love typing. A lot of people dislike typing or get RSI, but I don't even get RSI from typing. If I do get RSI from typing longer than a certain limit, I haven't hit my limit yet and several times, I spent over 18 hours solid posting on a forum and talking about things on IRC at the same time and sometimes doing coursework at the same time. I think my wrists have deformed to lessent he effects of RSI on them, because that bump on my wrist is a different shape than it is on a few of my friends that I've checked.
IRL, I prefer being quiet. Online, I prefer typing a lot because it gives you an ability to restructure what you want to say after typing it, if needed, to avoid coming off badly or not explaining something correctly. There is something to be said for being concise, but I prefer to elaborate down to the point where there is little confusion over what I mean.
Speaking of coursework... I should be getting mine done. Two weeks left.
