Edited by: Hua Taiji on 21/01/2008 21:27:16 Hi,
i have had the trinity content since the original boot.ini debacle and have never had a problem. Unfortunately, as per the usual process, I was ogging into eve with my main character two days ago and the progress bar froze. The mouse was still movable but i was unable to exit from the eve client nor bring up the task manager. After being stuck in limbo for half an hour i rebooted the computer as the only option left to me.
When i restarted the computer i was greeted with the message that there was something missing in my config/system and i was forced to reinstall windows and some programs.
Would this have been the boot.ini that caused the problem? has anyone else had an issue such as this? is it safe for me to ever play eve again or is it not worth the risk? sorry to ask lots of questions :).

No, it just means your Windows installation went foobar. Most likely it have nothing to do with EVE.
The original boot.ini problem was cause by wrong path in the setup program for Trinity update and CCP fixed it next day. The EVE client it self should never ever touch your boot.ini under any conditions.

thats wierd... i just had a very similar problem.
i put my computer into standby, then when i woke it up, it refused to do so and shutdown. Then every time i restarted the computer, it wouldent load the OS.
