hmm i tried http://patch.eve-online.com/test/evepatch.castor.1413-1414.exe but it dont work :/

Yea, and today, they seem to have done the same thing. Patched chaos to 1414 but they didn't upload it to patch pages.
Hope they fix it soon.

You are currently trying to connect to the EVE test server which is running version 1414. Your client version is 1413.
To upgrade your test client, please visit http://patch.eve-online.com/test-patches.html.

I guess those that are online on Chaos are no players but Devs/BHs.
Maybe they have screwed something again that needs testing now.

CCP is aware of and working on the issue.

You can connect if you edit your boot.ini file (just change 1413 to 1414). Wouldn't recommend it since there are prolly some issues with running 1413 on the client and 1414 on the server...

omigawd teh black screen of d0o0o0m has just eatted my NEWLY copied eve directory, oh nos =[

I just checked my boot.ini aftering patching 1414... the # is still 1413, changing to 1414 still gives you black screen though.

Yes, 1414 chat window seems to not be working at all... and I can't see a workaround for it. Haven't tried convo'ing another player though.
The patch seemed to have edited the text files, if you looked at that window when it was working it updating magic.

no, chat is busted, but u can eve-mail ppl and also gang them and gang warp somewhere(no gang chat though).

Ok we believe we now have some level of confirmation that both the 1415 client and server-side components are back up to a useable level.
We are experiencing some slowness but next week we hope for some general improvements on our test machines.
This is a test machine and most of the devs attention is on Shiva and fixing current bugs so Chaos sometimes falls a little behind.

still getting blackscreen here, but when i connected to TQ i saw that the chaos cluster was full, so i guess it works for many

We had a person have similiar issues.
What he did was go back to 1413 and then patch to 1414 and then to 1415 and it worked for him.
There was a time period where the 1413->1414 patch was bad. It was then pulled from the online test patches website (assuming it made it there in the first place - I was away at the time) and then it was replaced a day later. You might have got ahold to that bad one.
