I know this has already been debated to death,but guess id ask again.I know interceptors are much superior to frigates in many aspects,but can a well equiped interceptor with decent skills and a pilot that actually knows what he/she is doing put a cruiser and/or even a BS on trouble? -Note I dont mean to incapacitate and then destroy it,but to simply damage it so the cruiser or BS starts to panic some.
What do you think? any pilots with interceptor experience can post their experiences and thoughts here?

Yes. A frigate can take out a cruiser, cruiser can take out a battleship, etc. Frigates and Interceptors can be considered on the same level for such a comparison. The guy in the higher class ship usually has to qualify as a jerk or wholely unprepared, however.

on a related note, how much better is an intercetpor over a frigate? is it just the ability to put on 3 lows and 3 meds, and now u can warp disprupt, anduse good guns, and web?

Heavy drones make it tougher against certain cruisers and battleships.
Drones seem to eat alot of things, including frigs and interceptors

The only cruisers that die to frigates are those that forget to launch thier drones. Anytime you see 8+ Wasps in that Thorax's loot can, you realize that when caught up in the heat of the moment almost half of the Eve population forgets they even have drones. |

An inty and to a lesser extent other frigs can take out a cruiser regardless of the quailty of the pilot fairly easily to the ponit where i'd start betting on the inty, medium and even light guns cant track frigs on mwd and their wreckings dont do enough dmg to cripple,missiles simply cant hit. A kestral/crow takes about 3/4 salvos to kill a cruiser so your looking at about 1:00-1:30 till podualtion. Inties are far better suited at this then frigs as most are able to w/s and web a target while on mwd indefinatly.
If the cruiser has a webber, or has/remembers to launch drones things become difficult to the point of impossiblity, you've either got to sniper the drones/ stay out of web range either of which gives a cruiser more then enough time to escape.
If a cruisers got ew there are a few ways to get around it using the long locking times on inties but it requires alot of precision flying and the cruiser will likly escape.
Against bs inties are pretty leathal, i've been in a couple of situations where w/s a bs until the big boys have warped in to finish the job has paid off. As for killing one solo its possible on an untanked bs but most will make a gate long before their shields come down, a few k of dmg from a frig will give most bs pilots a scare. You cant really hang around bs in the same way as cruisers as its only a matter of time before they get a wreaking which will really ruin your day.
Its surprising how few ppl remember to launch drones, i've killed a couple of thorax which by rights should have popped heavies and put me in a world of hurt. Of all the things to lookout for webs are the worst, while drones give you a chance to run webs usually result in a pod ride home as the cruise that where harmlessly following you catchup

Thanks a lot Grut for all this info.Do you have any other strategies that you might want to reveal? If not its ok I know many people keep their own tactics.
