I've held off on asking this till I actually subscribed ... was on the 10 day trial.
I've searched for information on this and only come up with spoty reports that some people had gotten it to work. But never with a full explaination of how or what vid card they used.
Currently I'm running a 9800 Pro on 2 x Sony X73 17" 16ms Displays (1280x1024).
I understand that Nvidia's drivers are better for multi display with one game then ATi's ... and will have no resurvation about buying a FX5700 Ultra or Refurbed FX5950 If they will be the solution to this.
I also have a Ti4600 on another box that runs Eve great.
Eve is a great great looking game. However I'm getting so sick of having all the important windows cover my view of space. Switching back and forth with ctrl-tab isn't working for me. I'm missing out on critical messages by staying in that view for long periods.
Can anyone help with details aobut thier solution?
On a side note ... Anyone else with a ATi 9800 Pro having trouble enabling Anti-Aliasing and/or AF in Eve? The AA and AF functions for both OpenGL and DirectX work in the other games I've got... but won't stay on in Eve.
Till that day then.

Ooh I would love EVE on dual monitors. I have a 9800 XT and use the 4.3 drivers (I think). I have lots of tears and other muck ups on stations and such. I recall them alerting us to this issue and saying to wait for 4.4.
As for AA/AF, I turned it on last night and actually forgot about it. I'll have to check when I get home to see if it really made any difference.

Dual screen sucked! It chopped the control panel in half and was a complete bum! Triple display was supposed to be good but I don't have that many monitors

Oh well, I think it would be great to have all those corp chats, local chats, channel chats, scanners, settings etc etc etc on a second monitor... Maybe its worth a revamp. ====================================

Ok then. Does it currently work with 3 monitors?
It's kinda funny you said that since I just picked up a 3rd Sony 17" X73 16ms. Saw it on Referb and couldn't resist having 3 identical LCD's lined up in front of me.
If it does work ... then I think I'll have to go pickup one of the matrox boards. (*runs off and checks prices on it*)
Can anyone confirm this?

I believe 3 screens works perfectly in eve - check the matrox site for supported games - eve was listed there.

Hmmm... So is there anyone out there who has actually done it?
While I can see myself getting the matrox 3 head card just for this... I'm not going to do so unless there's someone out there who tells me they actualy have one of these setups working.

I thought they had removed this feature. At least - I don't see any option for it when I press "escape"

Would love to hook Eve up to one of the new wide screen T.V.'s :)

Still no confirmations for people who have gotten this to work? ... and not just have links to marketing stuff?
I'm sorry but dropping $300+ on a nearly defunct Vid card without confirmation isn't something I'm willing to do without knowing someone has it working.

I have a dual output Geforce Ti4600 Goldensample, with a bit of tweaking its possible to "stretch" on display accros the 2 screens, but and its a big but, you have to play eve at a wiered resolution, is 2x width x 1 hieght. ie 2048x 1536 and set the display mode to full screen with screen spanning.

I play with two monitors hooked up to a ti4200 128. It's a bit to get used to at first, since you'll obviously have a divide down the middle of the screen. This only really affects how you see your ship and the small HUD at the bottom of the screen, though. Besides, if you're still manually clicking on the on-screen HUD at the bottom you need to learn a few hotkeys, heh. Most any other in-game screen (fitting, market, etc) plays nicely with it. The gains in real-estate on the monitors make it WELL worth it. I could never go back. It's easy to have f11, gang, scanner, local, chat windows, drones, logger, people/places all open at once with no issues whatsoever.
It does end up taxing your vid card twice as much, though. You won't be able to have as many nifty antialiasing options and crap turned on.
The last few patches have made it a LOT easier to set up, and LOTS less buggy. In fact, I think it's pretty safe to say they've eliminated all the bugs with it. You'll probably need a card with dual inputs (my card has a DVI and regular monitor input). On the software side of things you'll have to set up the screens to do a "horizontal span". This essentially tells windows to treat both monitors as one, very wide monitor. Once that is done, you'll have a nice 2048x768 option to select in-game. --- The Tarsis Shriners |

Optional TouchScreen functionality
since the "CHEAP" model is $10,000, and the top of the line model is $18,000, i wonder how much extra it costs for the touch screen option?

try 9x Media for some more affordable multi screen setups.
Another nice setup is with two projectors. It is a bit fiddly to set them up in exactly the right spots, but you end up with an awesome screen and no split in the center :) I tried it with 2 Mitsubishi XD300's (1024x768 native res.) for a few days and it was cool. back down to one projector again now though :( --------------------------------------------- Engineers motto; If it doesn't fit, force it. If it breaks it needed replacing anyway. |

You can alway run a dual display card on AGP, and toss in a pci single display. Not sure if it works with Eve but have done it with other games.
