Am I missing something, or are there no rigs that increase mining?

To my knowledge there are no rigs that DIRECTLY increase your mining capacity. If you fitted ones that increase your CPU then you could fit more/better MLU's though which works out to be an upgrade in a roundabout sort of way.

If I'm not mistaken the prevailing theory is that if you introduced rigs that directly (and significantly) increased mining yields you would drive ore prices even lower. As it is mining outside of 0.0 is just about the slowest way to make cash these days.

Well, the main thing with mining ore isn't so much how much yield you get out of your beams (Unless it increases the amount the asteroid your mining gives, which I haven't been able to test yet) but in hauling it to a station/can mining.
Besides, I don't mind mining slow. It's relaxing. I think I understand what Chribba see's in Veldspar now.

That's the funny thing about upgrading mining equipment in Eve. The situation never gets better for the miner. You just mine more ore and the price plummets to compensate.

you can get CPU enhancer mods, but they're not the best. For my hulk i fit CCC's which do nothing other than increase my cap recharge and no drawback. This mod is pretty epic becuase i can perma run everything on my hulk in 0.0 (3 tech 2 lasers, shield, hardeners) and i have the space for MLU's.

Except that there are no rigs that increase CPU, either. There are rigs that reduce CPU usage on certain modules, but none that increase CPU directly. The best rigs for a miner are the ones that increase the tank like a shield recharge rig, or a shield extender rig, or the ones that increase cap/recharge, like CCC or SMU.

There are implants that give you 1%, 3% and 5% to mining yield as well as drone mining augmentors. You need 1 to go from 3 units of crokite from each T2 mining drone to 4 each thats like 80m3 a minute more. not a lot but it helps.if u get harvestors they can push 5 but i think they need 2 rigs.
OFC they use up more cpu so u cant fit a tank really anymore but if mining with a link boosting BC or command you are all good they cna tank. With lower grade ores itisafair bit mroe then just 80m3 its like an extra 100m3 a minute if mining veld or soemthing.. anyways it adds up and they are cheap as well -------------------------------------------------- It is not what u are underneath, but what you do that defines you |

I wouldnt mind seeing a rig that increased the range of mining lasers. Much like the gang-mod does, one could increase their 15km on strips to something maybe at most 20km. This would be incredibly helpful because it would mean less moving around and ultimately a more logistically-friendly mining environment. It wouldn't affect prices much like a bonus-to-yield mod would, just make things a little bit easier for us miners.
