The 425 is fine. The bonus' on ships are changing with caldari. They will no longer be getting rail bonus' and so the 425 will be suited to be used on megathrons. 425's on megathrons are mean weapons. So 425's dont need changing they are very good weapons and balanced. The only weapons which need a boost are lasers. before castor 1400's and tachys were balanced. BUt when 425's got boosted tachys got nerfed severly. Either they need a cap reduction or a damage boost, Personally Id prefer to see a damage boost.

curious but how do you know the caldari bonus is changing for sure?

Well i dont. I know as much as you do Jim. But Tomb did say that the caldari bonus will be changed for missile bonus' and rail and drone bonus' will stick with the gallente. Of course this isnt 100% but it seems the most likely and also backed up by CSM comments from tomb.

if the "skunk" data on EVE-DB goes live, missiles/caldari will be case closed, pretty much..

Any word on if this (1400mm's) has been checked after Eights reply?
I've seen a difference as well. Would be nice to know, even if its an inadvertant change.

Just as Eight said 1400mm were not changed. I'm going to lock this thread because it's causing confusion. If you guys want to continue to talk about balance take that to the ships and modules forum.
