No, not if you want to talk with others in those channels.

2). Leave Rookie help channel; problem solved.
No, not if you are a rookie and need some help quickly.

They killed Local one time before, by 'mistake'. It was a disaster. The game needs local as much as some folks don't want to admit it.
Not been in Rookie so long not sure, but I remember it really helped me learn about the game back in the day. I didn't ask many questions but I just watched the chatter and learned a lot.
You might could do away with the NPC corp chats, but that might turn more people off the game.
The best way to handle it is to block the individual. Then report them through the exploit menu. They should be dealt with quickly.
Dunno if you're answering to my post, but to make it clear, the title of the thread is not about a solution but the process going on right now. These channels ARE being killed and the proposal is not to kill them.

Oh, a witty answer. Go to rookie channel, Jita local or even FNA corp channel and keep blocking 1-3 ISK sellers PER MINUTE on a DAILY basis. I am sure you got nothing else to do than blocking people, right?
Um, leave the NPC corp? Get out of Jita and see the universe?

GoonSwarm would actually become the strongest alliance in game. They would actually become the ONLY alliance in game, they would simply move all of their players into a system and start voting all non Goon players out... (maybe)
Anyways, all battles would be resolved by who could bring the most players into the system and ban them.
The solution to the ISK selling problem would be to put more draconian measures into place. For example, for a first time offence CCP sends Tony and Micheal Corleone to your house with baseball bats. For a second offence... well lets just say that there won't be a third offence.
