Mining: Boring as sin. Unless of coarse your mining in 0.0 space where the next spawn of pirates coudl be not only your doom buy half of your corp mates as well. Not to mention the fact tht you open to attack literaly from anyone.
Agent Missions: Again, some can be boring others are just mind numbing after awhile. You can make some good money, but its a very repetitive process. Helps alot if you have a navy agent that only hands out kill missions.
Trading: Once apon a time there was something called trading, and you could make some ok money at it. Then the asshats came in and put but orders for 1 isk on everything and threw many traders for a curve ball. Many left trading as it was also, boring as sin. But the few who remained remained strong. Untill at the wisp of a patch trading was pretty much removed due to npc demand and supply being reduced.
Npc hunting: Oh the joys that were chain spawning. This used to be a very good way to make money. Unfortunatly it was a bit too good. People would return from 0.0 space with loads of rare wepons and multi-millinos in bounty money. So this was semi nerfed. The bad part of coarse is the threat that your getting shot all to hell and back from npcs.
Player hunting: now generally this isnt that good of a field to go into. The top bountys are rarely ever taken away by someone other than a corp mate. Plus you can find yourself ina world of hurt if you mess with the wrong people.
Manufacturing: Building Items isnt a bad way to make some money if everyone and their brothers didnt have a "We will not be undersold" method of selling goods. The main downfalls of this is of coarse: competition, time, and boredom. Manufacturing things is about as boring as mining x 5.
Stealing: Ah the life of ore stealing and corp stealing. There is big money to be made here. People will mine almost always without giant secure containers. And plucking them is easy. The downfalls being that a alt in a kestrel can put you out many many isk repetidly. And your reputation goes to hell. Corp theifs run the risk of being found out, not trusted, and generally looked down apon. The downfalls to both are once again: time, reputation, morale standarxds, and just generally being a *******.
Pirating: This was once a nice field to go into. But the fact is that the pit of doom that you can get yourself into reguarding your security status right now is crap. Also you once again can look like the ******* to people who you rob, or kill. Some people take it personally when they loose a ship. And in most cases you will hear a ton of smacktalking and cursing.
there are some more jobs out there, but thats the general idea of what the good points and bad points are. BTW if I offended any thiefs, pirates, miners, manufacturers, npc hunters, or anyone else in that matter, im sorry.
