Simple answer really. Bob is looking for the good fights, we're not. We just want them dead.
Fair enough. Do it in game without forum spin and constant invitations and NAPing to all that ever got hurt by BOB to join you. I'm sure everyone in EVE would like to see fight between Goons and BOB, one on one. They are almost dead anyways, so what do you have to lose?
I see you didn't reply to this Vile, so I will bump it. Maybe you missed it.
Why not take on BOB alone? I don't think that will put you in any kind of disadvantage. You have 5000 member, 2-3 times more then any other alliance including BOB. You own biggest chunck of 0.0 and more stations then anyone. You are the biggest and strongest alliance in the game. Your members don't care about loses and are willing to lose whatever it takes to beat BOB. I think that if you took BOB on your own, everyone in EVE would have to shut up about Goons forever. I will be the first one to congratulate you and say I was wrong. So send MC cap ships back home, send RA capships back home, let North go back about their own bussines and let Snigg go back to high sec ganks in Jita in their stealth bombers. Solve this thing with BOB once and for all on your own and those few that don't have respect for Goonswarm will have to shut up.
The simple answer is timezones. 95% of BoB play in one timezone, and Goonswarm's memberbase is very spread out, being primarily american with large groups of Euros and Anzacs. The Euro group is nowhere near the size of BoB alone. With the way POS mechanics work, all you need to survive is the ability to control a system for a few hours of the day. POS also obviously have a defensive advantage in that you can arm them, so you can't just match numbers in their primetime and expect to destroy them.
It's the same thing for BoB in US primetime. They gave up doing just about anything in US primetime after Titans were nerfed. For the most part all they've done for the last 5-6 months is put nanoships in the pipe between the staging point and the op location to gank stragglers. Once in a blue moon their euros will have an alarm clock op.
The only way out of a timezone war is kiting, but it's serious :effort: and mostly unreasonable when you have 100s of towers to kill.
