The Privateers, scourages of high sec. Gone.
I have the current fortune to be wardec'd by the Privateers. I spent the evening flying all over Lonetrek, and couldn't find even one (let alone a small gang of them).
I say we repeal that silly nerf.

I ran into 2 Privateer vagabonds in Kourmonen, from the corporation Atomic Battle Penguins.
After the encounter, I really respect them. Neither had a web, could only scramble and I kept MWDing to the gate to auga/kourm in the respective system while one was on either side of the gate. Passive tank held up and it was quite fun. After awhile we got bored, and I was able to dock up. Had a nice chat. Their great fellows. No smacktalk, no taunts. Nice guys.

Look for Flinx something, camping Jita 4-4 in a Maelstrom...his mate in a cloaked recon shouldn't be too far

Sorry , but after i roamed Lonetrek for two days and found nothing but stabbed haulers and shuttles i decided to relocate. But hey , just write me an eve-mail and i am sure we can hook up at some quiet place. It's gonna be just you and me... and my boys in the next system 
Alternatively , you can check Niarja and Kaap. Make sure you to load your cargo bay with tech 2 and faction goodies

Seems to be quite a nest in Niarja.
Bloody well organised they are as well out there. Taken some rather horrible losses unfortunately.

Liang , if the Privateers are such a minor threat and nowhere to be found , as you describe it - how come your corp left alliance less than 24 hours after the wardec went live ?

You may have noticed a whole flurry of corps leaving Knights of Syndicate. There'll be more in the very near future, I believe.
Neglecting the details, Knights of Syndicate doesn't really exist anymore. ;-)

I find it funny that someone in such a poor pvp alliance as yours is smacking another alliance about pvp ablity, especially when privateers has some very good pvp corps amongst its ranks. Its a shame what ccp did to the war dec systems because some of the most fun i had was in the privateers, and i would do it all again if ccp would revert back to the old war dec system instead of caving into the whiny carebears who can only pvp in 200 man blobs with lag deciding the winner.

They are around, one of them recently bumped a sec status impaired corp mate of mine to the gate when he wandered blindly into a high security area. Which I was tremendously grateful for, saved me 13 jumps.

At the risk of turning this into CAOD, I would like to point out that current KOS membership is down everyone who bothered to get off their ass in empire and defend the pocket from the "invasion". All that remains is roughly 133 current members (with some 70 due to leave at any time).
Not to mention, the only people you kept in "your" alliance were the people that made back door deals with the "enemy" (<3 rez u guys know I <3 u). The only new path that KOS is on is backstabbing friends in Empire. ;-)

Don't know the situation know, but theres a reason some the best PvPers in game are still in the top 10 of Privs kill board. Back in the day, Privs killed **** left and right, regardless of the smack they caught.

As a recent user of the Privateers special abilities, I can confirm the nerf has done little to stop their evil doings. As memory serves me right, they had 19 active war decs a few days ago...
I was being harassed by a local gang and they delat with it for the price of the war dec only! Others wanted several 100 million...pft

Privateers didn't have 19 wars, we have an average of 4-6 per week. We get more when:
- Special occassions, when people donate substantial amounts of cash for more wars - this can take it upto Ten
- An alliance falls apart coincidentally while we're at war with them. The corps that leave have a process of 24hrs where we have an active war with their corp(s)
- When corps or alliances decide for whatever reason to wardec Privateers instead of the other way around
While an alliance did apparently disintegrate last week, the leaving corps didn't amount to anywhere near 19.

See, this is why you guys need unnerfed (and so that I can re-join. :p) - 4-6 wars/wk is really kinda sad compared to the way things were. Maybe a more realistic upper cap of 6-10 alliances and 6-10 corps simultaneously wardec'ed.

There should have been 5-7 corps that left Knights of Syndicate... if another corp or two left another alliance, it might have added up to 19 active wars (at a very specific point in the week), but I doubt you really got to see much action over it.
Anyway, with the constant flux of corps moving in and out of war-dec'd alliances, I'm surprised you guys manage to keep the war dec so low... though I may be remembering more 'active' times. ;-)

that's 7 - as you pointed out some corp war dec'd us and the rest of your list are the fragments of a disintegrating alliance (nothing to do with us, we were all in Jita at the time)
We paid for 7 war decs this week, that's all we could afford before the crazy calculations CCP use made any more out of our reach.
So the nerf is working just fine, it doesn't need strengthening (I assume if CCP were to nerf it anymore we'd all have to pass lie detector tests after promising not to shoot anyone inside the sanctity of Empire before logging in)

I have been 0.0 since i was 4 days old. I have lost more ships to concord then I have to war targets trying to get used to this empire stuff..lol
A few of us still head out to the depths when targets are slim.
As far as the poster above talking about 19 wars, You are sorta correct. At the end of each week we have an over lapping period where the previous weeks dec's are expiring and the new ones are kicking in.
BC Hastings and The Hooch have mastered the dec'ing process to allow us the most targets at any given time. The nerf has been felt, but it hasnt kept us down. Between our own contributions and the growing number of contracts, we are starting the new year pretty well i think.

Privateers is still going remarkably strong despite CCP's efforts to kill any possible fun. With 5-6 war decs a week and plenty of action to go around, I would still recommend the alliance to any pvper.

I disagree. It may appear at first glance that there may have been some kind of a resurgence and a few of the older names have returned, but they're inactive and are simply sitting in the alliance as a form of retirement while they're playing other games. They may or may not return to Eve.
There is absolutely no need at all for CCP to revisit the Privateer nerf and check to see if there's anymore they can do.

It's o.k., it would take Skunk 30 weeks of ratting before he could get his sec. status back up to where he could even rejoin us. So let him talk his talk he has earned his stripes and moved on the other things.
Those of us who have endured the head-shot nerf, seem to be happy. We could be happier and would always entertain the idea of C.C.P. reverting to the old ways, but if they don't we are doing o.k. right now.
Thanks to all those who support us, and to all those who cuss us in local. As the saying goes, if a Privateer isn't being cussed in local or talked about on the forums then we aren't doing it right. Good to see we are doing a fine job.

Its in clear reference to CCPs nerfing policy - H Zubs allusion to CCP coming back to the wardec issue for more nerfing cannot be described as anything other then horrific. We are currently at war with Privateers. Would be cool if we'd get a mutual.
But I have nothing then respect for them. Though the fights arent always fair (going both ways), we both keep bringing it. It is good fun. And if you try to locat them, go from Amarr -> Perimiter -> Rens and back. I bet you find some docked and if you go past that route often enough, they will be waiting.

Try Kaap, Rens, Agil and Jita....the routes in between for the roving gang.
Mostly Kaap. Im in Pacific time zone so play mostly around 7-9pm. If you guys need a gang then 7pm pacific will hit several of us at that time.
We mostly fly faction fitted Ibis but I saved up and got a Caracal yesterday...I think The Hooch breaks out a typhoon on Mondays (he's kind of a show off)

Wasnt attempting to appear arrogant, but do I need to do all the work for you too? I put down my time zone for a few reasons, but certainly not to suggest I am better then anyone else or the like.
I have had real life work keep me out of the fights for a couple weeks and am ready to get back in the saddle. I figure that at least your crew will show up if not 1/2 a dozen other alliance we are at war with. Hopefully we can get a little pew pew going. I got so burned out on those Rackateers dock-aholic tactics a few weeks bck and will gladly throw ships at you guys to spice things back up.

Actually I've never been in Privvies, but big ups to them for still going strong doing what they do, even after the nerf. I mean - the fact that they got a nerf specifically for them is epic enough. Add in the fact that on the whole they're a pretty good PvP group and it's really hard to disrespect them. They also tend to, ya know, actually FIGHT which might play a small role in my bias toward them.

Privateers sucks, privateers rocks, privateers got nerfed, privateers is miners etc.... Whatever rocks your boat tbh. Privateers got nerfed seriously. I am not here to rant on the nerf.
But people in this thread racking down on the ONLY option now adays for small gang pvp. Try to pay some attention. Not all players wish to do capital stuff or 100+ v 100+. Privateers always had everything from the most noobish member to for sure one of the top 10 pvpers in the game. Who cares tbh? It's a lose alliance living up to it's name.
I have respect for privateers for fighting straight up, no not all and not always. But majority in this alliance got more balls than most people in eve. Eve now adays is too much about "how can I make sure to win this fight". Wheres the fncking fun???
I'll give you one example of what I enjoy, I love to run into situations randomly were I don't know what I am up against. And when I hit the fan I shake it. I lose alot and sometimes I win. But damn I love a crazy heavy fight even when I die. Last friday we engaged 14 with 4, only goal was killing the navy mega, we all died but goal accomplished. I am probably one of the easiest people to bait in eve.
I could post hundreds of these situations, but that would just make me look like one of the forum whoring fools.. However I believe it's time to pay some respect to the Privateers. Anyone disagreeing please declare war on us, I promise I fight any of you or any of your gang any day in any form.
