Hey
Is there a guide on how to fly these ships properly and how the jump drive works e.t.c and what mods are required. I picked one of these puppies up and want to fly it properly.

I'm sorry to say, but the widow is pretty much crap in its current incarnation. Simply put, it either has no survivability (EW fit with extremely slow lock time, no tank, and no range...and it costs 500 million) or loses one of its bonuses (fitted with a tank and ignoring the ECM bonus).
As for the modules you need, there are pretty much only two that are kind of predetermined: the cloaking device and the jump portal generator.
As for the widow's own jump drive, it works like any capital ship jumpdrive, albeit with a faaaar shorter range and using a far larger percentage of the ship's cargo hold worth of fuel just for one jump.
The jump portal works by right clicking a gang mate in another system who has an active cyno, then selecting the jump bridge option. This opens the portal for 20 seconds, and nearby recons/stealth bombers/covops can right click your ship and use it like a jump gate assuming you have enough fuel. It takes as much fuel to jump a recon through the portal as it does to jump the black ops itself...and the widow only has enough cargo space to carry fuel to jump itself two or three times.

Couldn't agree more with the last post, This ship some what has a role of being just a moveable jump brige at a very high skill, fuel, and overall isk cost. the Black Ops ships as a whole is just another hanger dust collector. CCP really needs to take a hard look at this class of ship. Some ideas or wish list; Added fuel/cargo bay, Cloaked when in warp, maybe a slight bit more tanking ability, agility of atleast its tech one counter parts vice that of a rock. I'm not asking for a solo pwwned you ship or beefing up the DPS to that of a Titan. For the skill time and isk put into these ships please give it a roll.

I waited till I could fly one on the Test Server. That saved me half a Billion...

See i did that - Then i got onto tranq, waited a few months, and thought OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG New Toy!!!
 But im not losing any isk from selling it :D
