I would just like to know... what is the fastest ship for AFK traveling in empire....I currently use a crow whit 3x T2 overdrives and 2 x aux thruster rigs, that gives me 875 m/sec. What I really want to know is there anything faster.

Either a claw or crusader with 4 overdrives and two warp speed rigs.

Any interceptor with overdrives and so on will be good, but the best thing is to put on a 1mn MWD and place that in the F1 position and jam down your F1 key with a pair of scissors or something.

Rgr that, a pen top works best for me but i'll only do it in my crane or an interceptor!

I once got killed in a gatecamp when I mistakenly fitted a Moa with a 100MN AB (it was fit solely to travel, thus I didn't notice that almost all of my grid and CPU was gone). Even with Instas installed it was taking 15 seconds to align.
I didn't even notice at first, until I realized my ship was accellerating like garbage and had a top speed dramatically above what I was expecting.

Everybody that sticks something on the F1 key to do afk jump fasters should be banned for causing useless strain on the servers.
How many commands per minute do you think your comp sends to the server ?
Activate MWD-Desactivate MWD-Activate MWD-Desactivate MWD-Activate MWD-Desactivate MWD-Activate MWD-Desactivate MWD-Activate MWD-Desactivate MWD ....
Besides that ... any 4 slots inty with overdrives, or maybe 3 and 1 inertia stab for the aligns plus static speed bonus rigs would be the best ... but not worth spending that much isk imo

I agree with Adril here, i was going 40 jumps to pick up a bpo and checked my ships to see what would get me there fastest. Cheetah had a warp speed of 13.9, almost twice as fast as anything else in my hangar. Since i wasn't afk and warping to 0, speed didn't matter as much as warp speed, but surely when afk traveling you should still take warp speed into consideration.

Mine is actually named that, and here's how I AFK roll in it: Istabs & Overdrives in the lows MWD on the F1 slot (as someone above mentioned) Heavy stuff on the F1 key.
Yes, I know it goes overkill-fast for the dash to the gate, but it actually only bounces off a 10-25% of the time before jumping. And even when it does, it only costs a few seconds.
Afterburner might actually work better, but I doubt it. Crappier MWD almost certainly would, but I half-assed use it for a real interceptor sometimes, so it's fully T2'd out (except for rigs of course).
For long term AFK runs, you want align speed, 2-4km/s sub-warp speed, and warp speed (Ares is 13.5 AU/s). -- Support fixing the EVE UI | Suggest Jita fixes |

I have a better idea, let autopilot use a MWD/afterburner if available. It's a stupid, arbitrary limitation that players will only ever try to work around. The developers that caused players to want/need to should be banned for putting such a useless strain on the servers. -- Support fixing the EVE UI | Suggest Jita fixes |

The client hasn't received a response back from the server acknowledging the finish of the cycle so it prevents any of those extra commands from being sent.

Personally I use a raptor with overdrives, and a t2 ab, it already warps at 13.5 au/s so its dang fast.

Izumi is right. Any programmer with an IQ of > 1 knows basic lag-prevention methods like these, so let's assume the EVE programmers do too.

Amazing...
I've found that the best point to point afk ship is a Crusader w/ 5x Overdrive II, Nav 5, and no rigs = about 975m/s. With a few rigs that can easily top out over 1200m/s without any AB/MWD. Add in some snakes and you really zip along. A simple AB and jimmied F1 key = 3+k/s, and never any bouncing. The only dangers I've run into AFK moving are instalock Huginn/Rapier. Generally still make the gate before getting into hull.
