As a full time miner and High sec resident, would like to see the mining profession become more indepth, i see alot of good ideas, esp the removal of half the and the movement of them into deadspace.... but here is my ideas for deadspace roids....
1) increase Rat damage and bounties
2) Only Scannable with Probes
3) Increase the size of belts, and include a minimal amount of rares
4) Allow Players to Pay for a gate construction, there by forcing others to either pay for a gate of their own or have to probe out the fields everytime they want to mine, allows limited claims to fields by corps or individuals, also allows the exploration profession to become viable as well, if u find it u have exclusive rights(sell Bookmarker) to that field, but you lose that when u sell the gates to another player.... Or make it so the Player or corp has to rent the field just like what has to be done by corps when renting Corp hangars(another use of Starbase Charters)
5) should reduce server load because only the people in these dead space pockets need it loaded
6) this would i think also provide an extra security to low sec ond 0.0 miners, requiring hunters to probe them out as well, allowing miners a bit more time to escape
7) this would also allow CCP to create more types of Rare minerals, possibly something for T3 and beyond
8) could also eliminate the 3 types back into 1 single type of roid, but make new combination roids that require the training of the individual ore skills, or require a second level of those skills....
9) decrease Veld in 0.0 but increase them in High sec, but also increase Rares in low sec... Makes Veld mining more valuble...
to counter the possible influx of minerals, make manufacturing of all items more complex as well, instead of putting minerals into a factory with a BPO to build a ship, rework the BPOs like T2s, and have to build comps, then with those comps build everything rework all T2 comps to include a minor bit of Minerals...
i see this as an increase in mining prices, ship and mod prices, reduces Macro's because of the Probe skill time sink, and money sink to build warp gates, and/or fees paid to field rental, also may push more players into player run corps....
This is just a few ideas, for deadspace fields.... but again any ideas CCP uses should be to increase the mining profession, and bring it more in line with the PVP attitude that is used on the market and in combat -----------------------------------------------
