Good vid, but im not impressed. And yea, the pilgrim really do suck. Why? Because you were ganking people who cant even use t2 med/light drones. In addition, the setups of your targets are pathetic and make me wanna cry tbh (esp. that abaddon  ). Nothing special really. Some of the cruiser/bc's kills in your vid, could have been done in a frig. So please dont claim that the pilgrim doesnt suck

Even if the competition wasnt the stiffest, I really enjoyed the video. That drake popping seemed odd though, i would think even without cap a drake could outlast medium drones. Anyway, nice vid.

Is the OP gonna respond to the killboard losses of dozens of pilgrims? It's sad to see the earlier losses with faction, then t2, then named gear as you lost money.
I've tried to make it work as well and it simply does not solo like it used to. Ship HP buff and EW nerf hit this ship hard. Drones not insta-recharging shields didn't help. Drone bay increase doesn't really cut it, they needed to increase the bandwith to 100 really. In a gang, maybe useful...but I can fly rapiers and they are more useful, curse even more so.
And posting pre-trinity fights in a thread that partly tries to refute is somewhat disingenuous.

I have responded.
Now look at how many foughts I've lost in 1v1, or 1v2. Hell, my latest lost was against a vagabond. Oh, he couldn't kill me, so he brought in a jaguar and manticore. Yea, I killed the jaguar, manticore escape, and the vagabond STILL couldn't kill me. So he brings in 2 hurricanes, and the manticore again.

How about you look at my ISK ratio. 9.3 bill caused, 2.5 bill lost. Yea, I "pimp my ride" sometimes, but you know what, I only do that when I can afford it. The entire reason I make money is to spend it on PVP. Besides, I do most of the time, go up against targets that a pilgrim, how shall we say, "should never be able to kill).
Whats the fun in not pushing the limits? Hell, one of these days, I want to go up against a dreadnought, in a 1v1. (I might not be able to kill him, but I know I could at least tank the damage  )
So there is your counter-argument.

So, exactly what can a Pilgrim gank nowadays?
This is the problem with the video. You place these in your thread with your pilgrim gank video and it gives the impression that you, as a pilgrim pilot, think they are wrong. But they aren't wrong, the pilgrim desperately needs love. Remarks like those you posted coupled with your fraps footage and the minds of 'uninformed' players get people thinking and posting that the pilgrim is OK.
I know you want to fly this ship and I know you want it buffed to levels that make it worth flying, but your post hurts those goals. You should have mentioned the losses you took in order to get these few fun fights so people know how often you're screwed in the pilgrim when trying to get a fight. If anything you should have posted something like, "despite the total worthlessness of the pilgrim, if you're willing to lose 28 in a row you can occasionally gank some nub players, even if they group up in gangs as large as 3"
It's great that you got the kills captured in this video. And it isn't to undermine those achievments that I post here. Rather, put those kills and fights in context. You have 31 recon losses, of which 27 or 28 are pilgrims. You die constantly in your pilgrim trying to get these kills. I'm sure you're very good with pilgrims and your video didnt make me think otherwise, but the pilgrim is really a POS. Your opponents were often in poor fits, young, pve setup or otherwise failing. It's great you can take advantage of that but it doesn't make the pilgrim a good or even mediocre ship. It's still awful.
This video could have been super effective as an educational video. If you had shown us a fight where you got a good kill and then told them why you should have lost. Something like, "This is a brutix. I got this kill because his skills were crap and I'm a better pilot than he was. A well fit brutix would have webbed me, touched the mwd so that I was in a chase position so as to minimze his tranversal and then absolutely massacred me with his tier 1 BC damage". Or for the abaddon fight, "This is an abaddon, a common bait BS. See how when I engage, entering his web and scram range, he holds me stationary as his friends pile on. If they had more dps than an ogre I they would have killed me here, such as in these 2 other clips where I get blobbed and can't escape because of the ncessary engagement range of the pilgrim".
This way you could have shown off your skill in piloting while pointing out the serious, crippling weaknesses of the pilgrim and the major risks you have to take to use it. Then we could do things like link your video in discussions about the pilgrim and it's balance, saying stuff like, look what happens to a well skilled pilgrim pilot who knows what he is doing. That's why we need a buff on the poor ship.
You've lost so many ships you could have shown a blow by blow of how no pilgrim fitting really works and hypothesized in the video why that is. That's why this movie was such a disappointment to me, the wasted potential of it.

You continue to point to single cases where you had success against a few players and argue that makes the pilgrim good. It doesn't, and the KB shows many times where the opposite result happened, you got blobbed because it takes forever for the pilgrim to kill things.
I am always wary of ISK ratios, and yours is a case in point. You got on a dread killmail, obviously as a gang, so that puts you down to 7.2b, you often faction pimp your ships, that puts you to 3.5b in losses. Then consider that not all your kills are in recons, you fly a lot of t1 ships and get on killmails with buddies. The gap narrows fast.
My point is, you say, OH LOOK AT MY ISK RATIO! as if that were your PILGRIM TO EVERYTHING YOU HAVE KILLED IN THE PILGRIM, which happens to be the point of your thread. If we were to calculate that, it would not be impressive in the least.
You can easily tank a dread in a battleship solo. They have terrible tracking/explosion velocity because they are meant to hit structures and other capitals. Please don't bother attacking one solo in a pilgrim....I don't think I could bear an obnoxious video of you claiming to be so uber in a pilgrim that it can tank dreads

I'm trying to tell you that I'm not flaming your pilot skill or fitting skill or your video editing or anything like that.
All I'm trying to do is point out that with the text posted in your OP and in the intro scenes of the movie followed by the showcase of your kills you're advocating that the pilgrim in it's current state is OK.
Although your fights are victories for you, they gloss by the facts that your opposition was ill-equipped and underskilled and that you died many times to get the footage you did manage.
No one wants the pilgrim buffed more than me, and I was excited to d/l a pilgrim video. I'm just frustrated that despite your many deaths and extensive experience with the ship you chose to posture instead of inform.

Decent vid I guess. I wish you'd put more effort into it. I liked the Abaddon fight and the one with the Hurri and Drake, aside from those pretty meh. Sides, I tend not to save Pilly vs. Drake fights that I do because even if you can break their tank they're the most boring fights to watch EVER.
I also thought the editing could use a bit more, although there was one or two nice tricks you did there. Timing music to action could use a bit more work.
T1 cruisers are so easy to kill in a Pilgrim if you can web em, and so impossible if you can't that I really don't bother frapsing em.
Although seeing the competition I'm more optimistic about the reception of the Pilly vid I hope to find time and HDD space to edit eventually. Got some solo BS kills frapsed, no T1 cruiser fights. Some HAC and some BC action...should be good.
All I can say is I've lost 5 Pilgrims in my career, and granted I don't fly it that much but I expected more and better sucesses after seeing people link to your pages of lossmails.

Awsome video. Thanks for posting it. For those who keep flaming you... I don't see them puting out any videos...? I'm just starting to fly the Pilgrim / Curse so it's nice to see some fights in them. It helps with getting some tactics down with them. I'm still using the Arbi more than them just to get the feel of things before losing some of them out in 0.0. Thanks again for the video, was a fun watch!
And remember... just because you fight you on Eve-O doesn't mean they can fight you in Eve.

Yeah, those fights sound pretty sick, wish you'd got em on FRAPs.
I can understand missing the FRAPS for the good fights. I have one FRAPS where I tackled a ratting Mael out in Geminate or Vale or something...it popped out some ECM drones and started jamming me so I started bumping the crap out of him to keep him from warping...as he pops his buddy warps in in a crow, I get my web on him long enough for my Warriors to pop him though when he died he'd managed to MWD out of my web. Anyhow, played back the FRAPs...it ended with the Mael in structure. I'd run out of disk space. 
As for the editing, Vegas is what I use, it's pretty powerful if you know how to use it. The Adobe video editing package is maybe more powerful and lots of people like it. Perhaps it's more user friendly as well.

I started eve, as a miner. For 2 months, I trained for mining. Ok.
Then I got pirated. I vowed to kill Awox, 20 some odd times. I started training for a Pilgrim.
7? months ago, I needed to boost my ISK to afford pvp. I trained up for a raven. Level 3 in caldari BS, missile skills to level 3, launcher level 5. minimal shield skills. That took me about 1 month.
After that, back to the pilgrim skills. Fast forward to today, and I'm almost finished.
You wonder why I loose so many recons? The Pilgrim is the only ship that I can fly effectively.
Anyways, how was the vid? 
Should have gone myrm....lol

There are soo many fights I wish I had fraps turned on for, soooo freaking many (even some of my losses tbh).
Would have been spectacular to see a pilgrim + arazu take down 5 battlecruisers, an interceptor, and destroyer gang..
or the huginn / falcon duo that I engaged..
or even a drake duo (both pilots where 2004 players) that I engaged (killed 1, other warped, heh).

That being said, I cleared alot of HDD space out, and will be fraps'ing more frequently. Even have a fight against a raven, then 2 ravens (had extreme module lag, so i warped out.. found them again, and I get pwnt  ).
As well, I am hoping to have some "cinematic" sequences in there as well. (Working on a custom concord billboard atm)

Yeah, me too is a new player trying to fit the Pilgrim, so I would be happy for any inputs on tactics/setup etc. Most of all I wonder if I should go Plate-tank or 2xrep, or speed-tank? And is it a good idea to leave out a mwd in the setup?

Grats, this is one of the best solo PVP movies I've seen in a good while! You made me go back to the hangar and take the Pilgrim out. :) [I do however agree the Pilgrim could use a boost, though.]

I think that T2 cruisers is a bit overkill pirating in. The cane + drake kill is v. nice though. And the movie is nice, good music. I enjoyed watching it.

I have to agree with Chronos. The vid is good, but the fights aren't that impressive. I noticed the same thing: targets only had t1 drones. Also you weren't even webbed in most of the fights, which points to noob pilots (the targets, that is). I suspect the real fights where you died to not-so-noob pilots weren't included in the movie :).
I wish Pilgrim was that great, honestly. But it isn't, and you are basically fighting against any improvement that could be made, by stating it is already good enough.
