Abram, while there may be a few good members in SIM from my experience they are complete nubs. After killing 2 SIM ravens in my Apoc in FD-MLJ one after the other (yes they let me kill them one by one) I examined the cans to find lots of cpu enhancers, medium procetile guns, H-50s (no siege) crappy medium drones and overdrives, probably why they died so fast.
So for these reasons Spartan would not even be in my top 10.
ATUK would definitely be top of the list for me with RUS a close second (yes they die alot but they dont care  )

ATUK are currently part of the CA.
We do however conduct our operations indipendently and are not currently involved in the descisions and diplomatic relations of the CA as a whole. Our position within the CA is unique but I believe we qualify as members.
In response to the original poster I would say that different corps excel in different areas of combat. It would be hard for me to put one above another.
ATUK are patient and organised, vindictive blob seekers. Is that a good thing?
RUS are wrecklessly voilent, their ability to absorb losses means that they can inflict massive collateral damage on any corporation.
OC seem to take full advantage of attrition, risking as little as possible whilst seeking high valued targets of opportunity. Long term they come out on top.
Shinra and Votf are great cooperative corps, they are both good at throwing a force together on short notice and making it work.
The best judges though, will always be the enemy.

Any EV member (or ex-member) will have a lot of respect for RUS, VOTF, and BOS. There's been a lot of attrition in EV due to those 3 corporations.
Only Spartan member I know of is p0ma so it's hard to judge, and [OC], well, kudos for use of frigs but they like bragging more than me which is a downer

I would put RUS up on the top, They have iron balls, and fight even when out numbered, and even come back for more.

RUS and ATUK, closely followed by VOTF/BOS/Shinra.
My opinion of course and i will not include OC in there for obvious reasons. I liked Lord Zap's comments, its always good to know your under-estimated.

Never fought VOTF
Fought RUS many times... but and yes think they got iron balls when they decided to come to Stain...
The first fight between MASS and RUS was a real dogfight :)
OC, well never fought em... and when they come they have like 20 support frigates/cruisers for 1 BS
The only one i meet from BOS is nivry he killed my kestrel many times :) only one i got respect for :)=
Arcane i fighted many times.. but they sure have some funny comments in local... so when i see them i dont even wanna watch local :)

1) RUS - Respect goes back to August. Despite Asma's ability to explode his Battleship nightly, these guys did a good job.
2) OC - Fought along side them in SA, so I have to hand it to there ability to coordiante all those frigates etc...
3) (RUS ALT CORPS) - read item (1) above
4) BOS - I guess, never really see them, but they seem to be ok chaps, and dedicated. A little rough on the edges on tactics.
5) VOTF
4 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions

We were spread from empire to curse to heck and gone. I found your crew while making new indy pilot friends in my Claw. We were all so happy to find a group of SA fighters to engage that we tried to rally the troops and have some fun.
Then we see you guys heading out, my lord it takes forever to get folks to the sight from 40+ jumps out. I went in to see if you were all leaving, found you at the gate, decided to "take one for the team" and see if I could get you guys to shoot at me so you couldn't jump out (interceptors aren't invincible after all, but don't tell my corp I said that as I think they are starting to buy my invincibility theory) and in the end we traded level 1 BShip losses as our pack of 3BS, 1 frig, 1pod (me) engaged your 4 BSes.
No tactics to speak of, just a mad rush to get some fun in before you all logged for the night
Thanks to the others that have rated BOS up there. We like to work together and blow stuff up.

I will say the top 5 CA pvp Corporations are:
#1 Any one who bleep straps on a gun to fight for CA.
And special tops to M.Corp....those guys are awsome for being in the fight over and over again...and keep comming back! they remind me of RUS.

Scenario for you. The FLABBER MOUTH GUY WHO ALWAYS TALKS LIKE THIS SCENARIO(you know him, he is in Evolution). If you were to encounter HIM AT A GATE with say Dobbo and SirMolle camping gate, and noticed FLABBER MOUTH BOY was not tagged Evol, yes you might be apprehensive. But then again people leave corps all the time briefly for various reasons like switching corp wars. It would be your fault if FLABBER MOUTH BOY blew you away right in front of your own allies as they sit by and do squat.
And as *if* anyone even gives a damn. The one guy that got tossed has like 9 bil in assets. What's a raven worth anyways? pff... The point is Zap was boasting about out-skilling 2 battleships that considered him an ally.

Wasn't so much a case of out skilling them, I infact didnt say that at all. My loadout was far superior to either raven so even if they had fired simultaneously Id have probably won anyways. I wasnt boasting at all, was just replying to the poster and saying why I didnt think SIM should be in the top 5.
If they had both been well equipped and had concentrated fire they would have killed me, but then I probably wouldnt have attacked. The reason I attacked was because they were kind enough to tell me their loadouts prior, so I saw an easy two kills, call me lame if you will.

Thats true that about M. Corp. I've not been in curse for a while but i do remember those guys (when they were on a trial period - which makes this even more impressive) taking losses but standing their ground constantly in B-VIP against corps like Zombies and Celestrial Apoc - great PvP'ers, so M. corp should probably be up there also.
