Nerfing cap power relays in favor of cap rechargers for med slots is yet another example of CCP's hate of low slots.
WHY?!?!

There are about 50 pages of discussion about why. And there were about 50 pages about it before it happened too. +++
It's called "low security space" for a reason. |

Sure, I know. But why did CCP nerf them in such a way that Cap rechargers were now their replacement? This is their hate for low slots... and its hurting every non-Caldari ship out there

Yeah what is up with this anti-Amarr, anti-Gallente, and anti-Minmatar nerf? We don't got any stinking mid-slots.
Making cap rechargers the main way to recharge cap gives an unfair advantage to all the caldari whiners, who have lots of medium slots.

Oh jeeze.
Look, even pre-cap relay nerf on chaos I was taking an armor tanked Typhoon or Tempest and blowing the snot out of everything I went up against, except for blasterthrons and this one armor tanked apoc that fought me to a standstill.
It only takes 4 low slots for a decent tank setup, cap realys have no adverse affects on armor tanking, armor tanking requires less cap for the same amount of hitpoints repaired as shield tanking AND native armor resistance is higher than the shield resistance. Lasers are pretty crappy vs armor tanks because armor has "reversed" resistances and the weapons that work the best (projectiles, missiles) are the ones with the lowest DOT in the game.
The only real downside Ive seen with armor tanking is that they take too long to cycle and dont repair until the end of the cycle... so in a fleet you might be just about dead before you even get your first batch of hp back. But that would probably have to be a pretty big fleet.
So quit your whining and just work with it. :) +++
