Well , vast number superiority (aka Blob) only achieved 1 thing for the Coalition in the past months : endless killmail lists for BoB pilots!
The RA Titan maneuver was the only significant punch in BoB's belly (even if it happened while they were asleep within POS shields) in a very long time! But , a short while afterwards , in QY6 BoB settled things straight by killing almost same number of Goons&Allies BSs only this time in battle and with almost no casualties!I wonder how RA's Titan escaped that battle....curious huh? Maybe we can discuss in a new thread about this?
Of course it's obvious BoB has BY FAR the best Pilots and FCs in this game but even so , even if they keep killing Coalition ships at 5-10:1 ratio , the sheer numbers that keep comming will at some point leave BoB at least without ammo to keep shooting and killing!
And when BoB will remain without ammo , maybe - just MAYBE - at that point the Coalition will have a slight chance to advance a bit more!
Now start flaming and trolling!
The winner in the game should be determined in fleet battles. How can someone win fleet battles and still lose space? Game is broken and POS mechanics are broken. You shouldn't be able to win space if you lose battles. Wining fleet fights and winning space should be related, and blobs shouldn't be the ultimate weapon that is better then any other tactic.
Winning wars has never been about winning battles. Throughout history the side winning most of the battles has generally won the wars no more often than the side losing the battles. You can go from Hannibal kicking Roman ass for 12 years 2000 years ago yet still having his city ground into dust in the end; to Napoleon eventually losing simply because his opponents realised they didn't need to fight him to win the war. Then there are wars won by guirella action or simply outlasting the enemy, despite being totally outclassed in the feild i.e. vietnam vs france, vietnam vs china, vietnam vs u.s.a. What is great about eve is that this simple truth is actually reflected in game. Still, lag sucks.
