Hi there,
I'd like you guys to express your opinion on CCP's incompetence on the technical side on trinity. This concerns all the technical problems like crashes, not being able to maximise the client, problems with logging in.
Every issue that was prolly done with CCP's hotfix taht was made few days after trinitexpansion patch. I'm greatly disappointed with the customers service and technical help in general and how they're treating the recent bugs and errors. Many players not being able to play or play at very low level.
And yet the date of the next patch is not known. The speed of "assistance" that we've been given is pathetic and technical help kinda lame. Everything's being "investigated deeply" ...
For instance, it took CCP about 10 days to acknowledge my issue (constant crashes caused by client). In that time made numerous threads about it, talked with people who have the same issue, made a technical petition outside eve client.
That's all that is to it from my side. I've been logged for 10 minutes now ! yay ! Now i can crash happy ...

It's fine for me. The patch resolved a couple of graphical issues but overall Trinity was a very smooth roll-out. My laptop has a few issues but then it's a cheap laptop. It's amazing it even runs Eve. My desktop machine is just fine.
I haven't heard of many people having problems either - certainly not on the scale you are describing. My guess is some kind of issue with your hardware or software configuration but judging from the tone of your message you'll no doubt dismiss that automatically. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

Yikes,
I didn't know my Eve client was expected to crash constantly.... he hasn't been doing this at all. Darn it.
Maybe I downloaded a bugged client then or my upgrade went wrong. There must be a difference somewhere as I don't have any problems with Eve....

Unfortunately you're guess is wrong. Like i said before CCP verified that it's bug on their side. And you didn't hear about it cause you're prolly running a premium content with nice hardware. I on the other hand, with other players, have still old pc's and can only run classic graphic. Imagine that you're paying for a game with RL cash out of pocketmoney and you crash everytime after 5-20 minutes , you've doen everything : took away all possible faulty hardware, formate, reinstall, cache cleaning, swap file reduction, swap file enhancement.
You're just being lucky, or rather me with other players unlucky. If you read the technical subforum you'll see that trinity ain't so perfect.

Everything is working perfect on my side, and I have personally just good thing to say about CCP.
I feel they are very much competent in what they do, they are very creative and have brought us the best game available on the market They have the good people too. People who really care for what they do. I Have not got that feeling in other games I have tried..
When it comes to support. I have seen too many cases on the forums of people who are petitioning everything between heaven and hearth, spending up CCPs resources on crap petitions. It consumes their time, I am not saying your petition where crap - I am too unsure of what you peitioned to tell that, but many others petitions crap and that delays the answers for the more serious petitions. Because it seems to me People dont really think the case twice before peitioning, or even care. The good thing though is stuck petitions are answered very fast. The downside is the Reimbursement petitions can take weeks. This happends when people try to exploit the system getting CCP to give them back valid losses.
One thing you could do is to try to ask any technical information on these forums. (As long its not personal related info ofcource) There really are some people around here with superb experience and knowledge in most areas of computer business. Many of these have true and deep knowledge of this game too, spending more time on test servers then on TQ.

The whole problem is escribed here : clicky The worst is that some people are having this kind of issues (not only the same) and there's still no eta on the next patch, which is the worst info ever And everything this did the recent hotfix. "Recent" actually. It was few days after trinity was deployed on tq.

and also, once the petition or bug report is being accepted as a fault on the CCP side, and my bug was few days ago, the programmers are starting to look into it, so the fact that people just use petitions for nothing good is not a concern to me atm, cause different people are for this department. I just want to be able to play EVE like before hotfix

I just got a message that it has been fixed, but ... there's a need for a tq patch and there's no eta on that ... now how to get it done faster ?
