Well according to CCP Paradox, it's got a Quafe bay. Plus it lists a couple of other bonuses on the page.

actually, the itty IV is the best non-T2 lowsec transport. its small frame allows for fast travel and easy alignment.
other than that, yes its not good for much. i have one and i just use my alt for hauling instead. |

INstead of spending time on a useless quafe ship, perhaps more time could be spent on making more unique ship models. Theres no reason Marauders, Command Ships, Assault Frigates, Hacs, Industrial/Mining ships, ect... should all be the same hull as their T1 counterparts. |

Surprisingly there is. Might be because they're just upgrades of the ships they are based on? It's not like you actually need the original T1 hull itself to create a T2 ship.
Couldn't be that simple.

Except for, you know, lore. Also building requirements.
I find it rather silly that you need a Punisher to build a Slicer, as the two ships are nothing alike. Requiring a Typhoon to build a Panther makes far more sense -- the Panther looks like a Typhoon, has similar (but upgraded) abilities, etc.

You & I pay a subscription like everyone else. So now the game is starting to extend to real life requirements with no skill required to obtain an item. Also, some players are physically not able to travel (either cost, distance or physical disabilities).
In my view CCP is punishing players for being unable to attend.

It's a vanity item. Whether or not it's worthwhile in terms of gameplay is very much relevant. This Iteron IV, while pretty, is like hubcaps on a tractor... if those hubcaps prevented the tractor from even functioning as a tractor anymore (note that the Quaffe edition Itereron can only carry Quaffe... and we all know how the economy teeters on the whims of Quaffe speculators). It's the same as a T-Shirt or a medal. It doesn't affect game balance so who cares?

CCP is rewarding players with in-game items obtained through out-of-game means accessible to only a limited player base. {smell like meta gaming} It's still unfair. While the ship itself is benign, this sets a president of rewarding players for non-in game activities. Whos to say the next item being dished out by the marketing department is not an Utu or some Ultra-bad ammo... get my point? You & I pay a subscription like everyone else. So now the game is starting to extend to real life requirements with no skill required to obtain an item. Also, some players are physically not able to travel (either cost, distance or physical disabilities). In my view CCP is punishing players for being unable to attend. Someone had their Pre-Crucilble cap on again... .

at least make it available for the guys who gonna look/buy the fanfest stream... (btw 1 PLEX is far to much for the damn HD stream 100mio isk would be acceptable ) i'm a student who always struggle with money... (just have one account yet because i dont have the money for it (in real life and in Plex). i wish i could be there , taking my girlfriend with me.. exploring the ice caves and stuff but i cant
and then u read that the guys (which have money to travel ) will go there and get Quafe Shirt, quafe iteron or in the past the gallente luxuries ships.
ps. its ok to give the visitors a lil fanfest pack.. but let it just contain "out of game" items like a quafe shirt or a little model of the capsule.
it's like putting the boot in !

I would be very much interested in obtaining the ship, EXCEPT CCP will be handing out these ships for other sales promotion in the near future. I don't see how offering this ship will incentivize players to attend the Fanfest when they have handed out pretty much all other unique ships from other events for the recent promotional efforts.
Unless CCP leaves a post, telling us that they won't be re-issuing this ship for other cheap sales marketing ploy, I don't see how any reasonable person would attend the Fanfest or buy a "streamlined Fanfest (if available online like last year)" to obtain this ship. |

I know I will probably get flamed... but I wanted one of those Quafe ships... will probably bring a good price on contract market in about a year.
But.. most importantly
I've been watching Dust 514 since 2009 and am DYING to just watch a decent video or get some piece of information that inst vague as mud.
I had been looking forward to FanFest, but alas, my car took all my fanfest money from me :( |

I has the same cargo bonuses a normal Iteron IV has except the cargo hold can only hold Quafe. It has no skill requirements to fly. It has a snazzy paint job and a cargo penalty, really. Functionally it's more of a liability than a tool. It's just a fun ship and yes, gank-bait. That's it.
