Hi!
I'd post a screenshot to show what I'm talking about, but _I can't take one_ ! Why? Well, my laptop doesn't have a Print Screen button, nor do I want to fumble around with key-combos to find one.
How can I change what key is used to take screenshots in the mac client, when there's a little lock icon to the right of the key binding? To see what I'm talking about, log in, press ESC, go to Shortcuts -> General and scroll down to Print Screen. You'll see the lock icon on the far right.
Edit: selecting the "Print Screen" entry and clicking on "Edit Shortcut" just gives me a message telling me I can't do that. |

To take a screenshot on OS X press (Command+shift+3) To take screenshot of a smaller area press (command+shift+4), then a crosshair will appear and you can select the area you want to take a shot of.
Sorry, I guess I omitted that. 10.6.7 . Though the same issue (locked key bindings) applies on windows.
I found those key combos as well. My interest is in changing the key mapping so I can map those as something simpler from within the game. |

From there you can double click the shortcut and change it, but keep in mind that this is system wide. So if you set your Screen shot shortcut to "command+S" every time you try to use the shortcut to save, you will take a screen shot.
Edit: Update to 10.6.8 too, been out for a while and is plenty stable. Without that version you may be missing some security updates.
Thanks, but that is at best a workaround. I want to change the key from within the client, not alter my system or have to press odd key combos.
Is there a config file that contains the key bindings? |
