The bugs have been succesfully found and repaired on the CCP's servers. There's 1 but. There is a need for a tq patch so taht they'll take any effect. About 50-60 players (prolly even more 'cause many people just don't believe in saying anythign here has any sense at all) can't normally play. For instance. There's a crash issue since the great and wonderful hotfix that was implemended right after trinity expansion was. In taht hotfix many bugs were found and repaired within just few days or even hours. It'd all be good if it'd stay like this, but no. New ones appeared, even worse. Imagine that you're able to play max 5-15 minutes and after taht you crash. See windows error message and bye bye. And now imagine that it's totally random, it can happen even at character selection screen or after 1 hour. Now if you're mission running you can't do anything, 'cause your ship will be prolly destroyed. Since this bug i lost my ship and needed like 2 weeks to be reimbursed. If you're pvping, that's also a bad idea, 'cause when you crash, the fleet won't wait for you all the time and when the combat starts, you'll crash for sure and bye bye to the ship and again you need to write a petition in reimbursement department. This was caused by the hotfix. Somethign that was implemended onto tq fast, asap. So you can say that due to CCP's incompetence (my favourite word lately 'cause of this bug). And now that this problem is fixed they just say that there's no eta on the patch and many players just want to play their game. Haven't been able for 1 month and prolly won't be for another 2, 'cause CCP won't deploy the new patch will all the technical issues they've 'caused. I'm Polish, a proud Pole. In our nature is to fight until the end, no matter the odds. And i'll keep fighting until the end. Even if it fastens this patch for 1 day ! Ah, ok. Will also update first post so that EVERYONE will understand it. Eve crashes after random period of time. Depending on the hardware configuration it can be from few 2nds to hour, maybe more. The specifics are not known and it seems to be random. I've noticed that this problem tends to be on geforce fx5200/5500 graphic cards. It's not related to the place where you're playing. People around the world have it. Windows creates an error message as follows : Quote: AppName: exefile.exe AppVer: 4.10.0.44942 ModName: _trinity.dll Modver: 4.10.0.45514 Offset: 00090c00 Some people tried to change PC's aka graphic cards etc, but it happens also with different setups or different pc's. 1 way COULD be changing wholly PC, but almost noone has spare cash for a new one. The problem appeared after HOTFIX for trinity expansion. It fixed numerous of bugs, but unfortunately created this one. It happens in both operating systems, Windows XP and Windows Vista. We have tried to do many things, but nothing help. This includes : latest drivers reinstalling all drivers taking off probably faulty equipment like tv tuner or sound cards updating windows partial format (of only c partition) repairing system full scale format Nothing what we done helped us. That's why we made a bunch of bugreports and technical petitions. The problem appeared instantly. Approx (i don't remember the whole date) around 1st january. It has been FIXED 2 days ago on the internal CCP servers. There's only 1 but. We NEED A PATCH FOR TQ to update it so taht we'll be able to once again normally play EVE. CCP stated that this bug was by their fault and WAS NOT issue caused by either: faulty hardware viruses/spybots on customers PC's software setup When we asked couple of GMs everyone was saying that they don't know the ETA on the next patch and that (probably) the amarr fix will not have FIX for our problem implemended. That's why there's a big chance that we'll need to wait like 2 another months to get this FIX implemended on TQ. That's why we created this topic, so that it'll get faster the patch done. We're not able to normally play or do anything since we can crash in any moment actually Our voice will be heard in the void ! CLIENT BUG - CCP PLZ FIX THIS !

Other GM said that they've already managed to fix this problem on their internal servers and need to patch tq, so what is the final version ? Installed only motherboard chipset drivers, directx, graphic card drivers, eve, winrar and firefox. With NO SOUND. Again crashes without any reason Had to make sure. CCP, PATCH TQ ! I got it when a Nyx launched its fighters/drones, first indication something was wrong was when i boarded a Cerberus and everything was off line. attempts to online said i didnt have enough CPU. with nothing online. so i switched ships back and it showed my old ship, Exequrour and with launchers online.. CTD so i rebooted, came back on and jumped in cerb with everything on and started to help protect pos, nyx launched drones and CTD i warped out re logged and came back pretty close to same spot still alive, after that it started with exception errors on subsequent CTD and a final reboot I awoke in a station in my pod. that was just less than 8 people in local. I don't see how anyone could do fleet battles against that.

I hoped that after making this thread more people would join that have this kind of problems, but not every 5-10 minutes, but every 1-2 hours which is far better. Once this problem becomes the problem of some bigger minority, i hope that CCP will take the correct course of action. CLIENT BUG - CCP PLZ FIX THIS !

Yes, the client will run for a whole evening on classic graphics! I just installed EvE on Vista and i can state with 100% honesty : crashes will appear in both systems (xp and vista) on the pc's that have this crash. Nothing can change it. Also talked with GM today and i got an Official response that the amarr fix that eta is not known, will also have the crash fix implemended. So we just need to wait on that. Well, that's CCP's aim, we'll see what will happen and now i'm formatting my pc again and getting rid of Vista ... CLIENT BUG - CCP PLZ FIX THIS !

But rolling it out in some "omg super-hotfix right the bleep now!" rush would be a monumentally stupid idea. Yes, it's annoying that you're crashing, and it's annoying for me too (though I'm crashing in blue.dll, so possibly a slightly different crash). But there is a huge difference between having a "fix" on the internal test server, and having something that's fit to go on TQ. Rolling out hotfixes as soon as they look ok on the programmers machine is a recipie for hotfixes that break more than they fix. A case in point would be what happened on sisi (the public test server) a few days ago. They rolled out a new patch that resulted in modules not activating, and launching stuff from your cargo hold into space (POS arrays, ships etc) resulting in that stuff disappearing completely. Imagine the mess if that had been rushed to TQ instead of being held back and tested properly. ------- There is no magic Wand of Fixing, and it is not powered by forum whines.

BUT, if I understood properly -- some people are getting hard crashes, and sometimes after getting those hard crashes they are unable to load up the game? Guess what! I have had this problem previously.... uninstalled and reinstalled EVE and the problem still didn't go away .... then I went in and manually deleted all of the EVE folders on my computer and reinstalled. It worked! In hindsight though, I believe that what happened was EVE had a hard crash, and the settings folder got corrupted... So, if I am even somewhat close - try to delete your settings folder and then reload EVE. --- "The Galaxy is only as big as you make it." - presumably Eve Game Designers.

I bought and installed vista in a moment of a great desperation. Nothing helps, if you guys read the whole threads (which is about 7 pages) you'd know that we've done everything. It includes : reinstalling eve, clearing everything with eve and installing again, latest drivers, latest updates for windows, taking off as much pc components as possible (tv tunners, sound cards), spyware, virus checks, partial formats ( formatting only c drive and leaving d as it is), full scale format. And still nothing. The biggest problem is that CCP claims that they fixed the issue, cause it was an error in the code, but still it's not on sisi .... we crash there too ...(checked yesterday). And the DEV team is recently posting in useless threads and just they waste their time. And scorp is a mgnificent fleet ship. I love it 'cause of its looks and this will never change. So what that it doesnt have much firepower ? it doesn't matter. You fly what you like. If it goes like this, i'm just quitting EvE. I love this game, seriously, but i had enough ... i don't have a patience of an angel ... CLIENT BUG - CCP PLZ FIX THIS !
