I play from Victoria and last time I checked, Bass Strait was in my time zone..and hence that of Tasmania, NSW and the ACT as well as Victoria, at least in summer anyway.
I reckon there'd be a number of Tasmanians and not a few Kiwis that would take exception. The body of water that separates Aus from NZ is the Tasman Sea.
Aaaaanyway..I was well aware of the daily DT before I subscribed....so whilst it is a pain in the arse, I have no cause to whinge.

in any case, having DT in our TZ is why so few Aussies play EVE. I'm in WoW on the other screen atm so not paying attention atm, but relaying this thread to the guys on TS (all ex-eve aussies) and they all agree: If CCP wanted to do something about it, they could. They just don't need our business enough to. Maybe they could let us play on the chinese server...

Yeah, this comes up every now and then. Guild Wars fills the gap nicely. That or TV, or female company, BBQ, swim, etc.
It is true, 1 hour is not too much to ask but every night means 2 weeks of solid in game time every year. We used to get some copensation for that in terms of plexs respawning and NPC market trades going up. But that was deemed unfair by CCP and the majority.
It would be cool if DT could happen every couple of days maybe?
Still, as an Aussie having Eve fall over every night in prime time is really just karma. We get the best of everything else this world has to offer.

you might get 1h downtime..
the rest of us get at least 3-4h during the POS war prime time
