Are there no setups for Golems or do people dont use them?
I was thinking of getting one and use only T2 equipment on it, do you have any suggestins on how to fit it.

Just like a Raven (but with less trouble deciding what NOT to fit in mids).

BCUs galore, DC optional but prefered, PDUs if you need'em, and CCC rigs of course. 1|2|3|4|5. |

Imho there is only one fit that really makes the ship worth its money:
4* Siege II, 3* whatever Gist XL, PWNAGE, AB, 3-4 hards, 0-1 SeBo 4* Faction BCU
2* Hydraulic bay thrusters (T2 is you can afford)
Anything with less damage (esp. cruise setups) is wasting the ships potential.
There is no 'n' in turret There is no 'r' in faction There is no 'a' in Scorpion There is no 'e' in Caldari There is no makeup in rogue drones |

how to you cut through missions quickly with torpedos ? I might try them but the torps are so short range ? What would be the range of torps with all bonuses ? about 30k ? thanks
I currently use cruises and I get through missions quickly and with a targetting range of 112km I can hit everything in the pocket , but I am willing to experiment if it would be worth it

Exactly. Hence the T2 launchers rather than the otherwise better CN ones. You get beyond 60km range with good skills and T2 rigs. And for stuff 35km and closer, you get wtfpwn damage with faction torps.

As far as the torps vs cruise issue, i still prefer the cruise with the implants and rigs i use on golem. I do not use faction missiles, simply tech 1 bought on market.
Torp damage unresisted (on structures to test) is 1635 , and cruise do 1150 or so. The rate of fire is within 1 sec between the 2 so not much difference in damage over time.
Granted i do not kill as fast as i would with torps, but fitting a perma tank which does not get dented even against enemies abound part 5 full aggro allows for less worries. Plus, fitting 2 tractors and 1 salvager allows me to loot and salvage everything in every mission (bringing in a hauler for loot can on some missions) without wasting time changing ships to a dedicated salvager. The time saved adds up after a few missions, salvaging first kills while i am working on the remaining spawns, dedicating 2 or 3 of the 10 available targets to wrecks for salvaging.
Some disagree stating killing faster and switching to salvage ship saves time, but i am sitting in the mission area at most (on large missions) an extra 5 minutes to salvage wrecks with maybe 15 minutes longer to kill the ships with my setup, and i am salvaging everything. Those who switch ships are hard pressed to switch ships and salvage entire mission in less time.

Here is where you fail. The damage over time difference is immense.
All numbers for standard Raven with 6 launchers, 3 CN BCUs and maxskills: (too lazy to hack a Golem into EFT but the relation between numbers does not change anyway)
CN Cruise @ CN ammo: 563 Siege II @ Jav: 737 Siege II @ CN ammo: 1002
So within roughly 35km, you do almost double the damage with torps, and still 30% more at long range. Add to that how cruise get shot down by defenders a lot more than torps, you have a way superior weapon system. And with that kind of gank, you do not NEED to permatank. And salvaging frigs is a waste of time anyway, same for cruisers except angel/blood/sansha, so coming back in a dedicated ship to salvage does not take long at all (at least when it is properly nanoed up, those who fill the lows with expanders for oodles of junk loot don't have all cookies on the same platter imho).
