I am a gallente Special ops military man. I am looking for a good PvE mission/ Learning setup. People have said in corp that armor tanking is the way to go, however i would love some input from others, as the corp i am in is rather nub. I am looking for a setup i can use to do missions while i learn more skills.. Were talking like virgin setup please.

Your corp mates are right, Vexor and most(if not all) Gallente ships are for armour tanking. You will just need skills to use drones mostly, and getting cruiser to IV will do you good. Drone V is a must aswell as drone interfacing IV.
Also, fitting cap batteries on a Vexor is better than cap rechargers if you lose your turrets. This way, you can perma-run 2 medium armour repairer. This will be good enough for lvl 2 combat missions, although the most difficult missions are Morduk's Legion ones and The Blockade (avoid them if your not confident with your skills).

You need more mid slots than you have on the cruisers for a sensible shield tank.
3 is not going to cut it.
This was my week one Vexor set-up.
Highs: 150mm guns / blasters / whatever (not a big deal. The drones are the thing mainly), Drone Link Augmenter (not a big priority but handy in places) Mid slot: 10mn Afterburner, Cap Recharger, Cap Recharger Low slot: Medium Armor Repair, Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane (replace these with whatever seems most appropriate for the mission tbh), Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane, Capacitor Power Relay
Some skills to prioritise: Hull Upgrades (lets you use the good tanking modules - want this to 3 or 4 ASAP)
Energy Management (increases size of capacitor) Energy System Operation (increases recharge rate) Repair Systems (increases rate at which you rep)
Drone Interfacing (increases drone damage - each level is like having another drone out) Scout Drone Operation (increases drone control range) EVE RELATED CONTENT |

Like I said before, you should try to fit in cap batteries rather than cap rechargers if your PG allows (depends on your engineering skill). They give better cap/sec.

Isnt having 2 EANM's bad? I thought it said something about "The same items" being bad

They do have stacking penalties, but the advantages outweigh the penalties for 2 EANM's. These broke amarr btw.
edit: In actual truth, using active modules are better while your doing missions. EANM's are more for general pvp.

No, active modules are modules that you can activate and glow green. Armour plates are considered passive modules.
I meant active Hardening modules.

For a ship setup? High: Any gun that you can use, I used lasers back when i started and a drone link augmentor (not absolutely necessary) med: 10mn afterburner; med cap battery; med cap battery low: 2 med armour reppers; 2 eamn
this build depends a bit on your skills: engineering and electronics are important. Energy management help alot too.
For a corp? Yeah, join my corp

Try this:
High: 4x 125mm Railgun (Compressed Coil) 1x Drone Link Augmentor I
Med: 10mn Afterburner (Y-S8) Large Capacitor Battery (Peroxide) Cap Recharger I (II)
Low: Medium Armor Repair Unit (named or T2) Damage Control I (II) 2x NPC specific Energized Membrane I (basic if skills are low, T2 is possible)
Recommendations are in parentheses. With a Cap Recharger II and a Peroxide Cap Battery you can easily run everything indefinitely, even with low skills. Use Thorium S ammo or Iridium/Tungsten for more range. Guns are just for some extra DPS, though.

Active hardeners are better, but they use cap.
This set-up is designed around horrible cap skills.
Switch out bits are you train more skills. EVE RELATED CONTENT |
