Noticing that CCP have once again boosted another EWar and forgot about the Minmatar one once again got me thinking.
How about having the Target painter, as well as increasing the signature radius of a ship, having the ability to decrease the sig radius, with the special use of an ARM script.
The inspiration for this was taken from the Minmy titan bonus, so it would keep in keeping with the hole Minmatar styley
Now this isn't exactly a boost to ewar but it would make it useful (hopefully) and anyway, i don't recall any better idea.
Good? Bad? Pointless?

Hmm sounds cool. Tho Counter Painting a ceptor could be abused maybe? There isn't a normal mod otherwise to counter TP, just Halo sets, minnie titan, skirmish warefare gang link... Kinda makes me think it could be quite powerful lol

yep it's needed and this is an ok way to do it.
since it's % based it wouldn't be abused to badly either. though u might wanna make it like 1/5 (or something, I just used 1/5 for ease of calculation) the % reduction in sig radius.
eg. with max skills and a specialised ship it would do 50% bonus to sig radius or 10% reduction in sig radius.
would be interesting in fleets to have a couple target painter ships shrinking your size so the enemy fleet keeps missing while the enemy target painters try to make him bigger.

And you could look and see if someones counter-painting someone else, and then you could target paint them back lol

good idea. This item would be even more awesome it it reduced your sig radius while in passive mode. at least this way it will be used more. I cant recall last time i saw target painter on a ship and whenever i decide to fit one, i find something more useful.
