Afaik 1/10 complexes drop faction loot now.
Don't know exactly whether or not they did that before, but I think they didn't. I'm not sure if they're supposed to do so, either. Should really only be for newbs ihmo, not bored people in AF's. Ah well, there'r the role for Assault Ships - low level content farming ^^

The log would 'generate' the plex so that nobody else could find it, and also give clues to its location in the system so it would take less time to find.
that would be brilliant, allow a warp to co-ordinate function, so people can just tell people co-ordinates in fleet chat instead of trying to copy bookmarks and the like.
and have the logs generate a random system NEARBY and a location there to warp to. Potentially have half a dozen logs point to the same plex, just to make it a little more competitive/realistic, but it'd be utter win!
Yep. But make logs *rare*. Like a 50% chance of finding one in 2-3 hours ratting, so as not to obselete the guys who have put millions of SP in to exploration skills.
Recovering a pirate log should really be done by salvage and be almost as exciting as getting a faction spawn.
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |

That is actually a very good idea, but I'd like to suggest a few modifications to it. Salvaging an NPC wreck could have a small chance of recovering a log (like a black box, for RP purposes). The log would be a bookmark for an exploration site in a nearby system, with hints in the log as to what type of site. This would make an extra way to access the exploration content. It wouldn't have much effect on people who do exploration full time, but it would give some variety for ratters and mission runners.

There's faction loot in 1/10 complexes? I ran one a few days ago out of boredom and I got a some missiles, an assault launcher, and a pulse laser... And about half a mill in bounties/overseer stuff..
Seems like a good noob thing to me... -----sig-starts-here------

I like this idea and would like to subscribe to it's newsletter. Wpuld be nice to have some more new content to revitalise lowsec. Exploration is nice (and still profitable) but some variety can't hurt. Would be good to have something that doesn't give a big advantage to people who have prober alts.

Your 'p' seems to be getting up to mischief, replacing the o key for itself, and then sticking b where it should've been! You need to nail that guy down.
