I like the idea of investing money in people who have what I believe to be a solid business plan that makes some sense to me; where they bring time, experience and expertise to the table and where I think I know (probably wrongly most of the time, but hey) what I'm getting into. I have to trust that the person managing the business is going to be making all the best decisions to make my iskies work harder and better. I think I can see where this new plan is coming from, but it doesn't float my boat anymore... Bizarrely, I liked the idea of giving you my iskies to pretty much do what you liked with given your prior history of producing returns. But the idea of me having to make decisions regarding the volume and profitability of Race X's ships and thingummies versus Race Y's ships and thingummies fills me with paralysed horror. So I won't be investing in this, I'm afraid, not that a B will make much odds given the ridiculous individual wealth on display in MD . Additionally you provided your email address which was an address to a navy ship locaion. Which brings up some important questions for me. Are you in the navy currently? Are you still with that ship listed in the email? Are you out to sea atm? If you are at sea, how can you guarantee you have enough time/access to the game to effectively run 4 corps. If you are not at sea, when is your next deployement and will you then have time to run 4 corps. Nothing against military life, but i am curious to see how much Eve time you would have on-board ship. I do however like the expirimental nature of this business though. This is game is meant for fun ultimately and making money is great, but having fun is better. I am just not convinced you, (or one person for that matter) can run this type of venture alone.

I am also currently onboard a ship that is on a 7mth deployment. Once the ship gets back we will have a few small 1 to 3 week deployments for about 3-5mths and then we go into the Ship Yards for over a year. So the first few months will be ruff, but with what I am going into, I can put things into production for 1-2 weeks so when I get back I just have more to sell than build, put BPO's into Copy slots for 2 weeks at a time, which may not make great isk, but it still generates isk. I ran my last IPO while being a Recruiter with hours from 8am until 8pm 6 days a week. I was still able to prove I can run an IPO then, and will prove I can run this one as well. So will being in the Navy Effect my dividends, absoulutly, but I guerentee anyone that runs any type of IPO could pay better dividends if it was not for work, sleep, and things of that nature. ----------------------------------------------- http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=439797Cli

WTF Proton! Stop being a lazy bastard and just stay at home on social security, move your desk and fridge to the toilet and sleep during downtime! On a serious note though, Eve is a game (gasp!... yes, only a game), and anyone who expect you to drop life in favour of an IPO is someone whose opinion is not worth listening to. Mostly I just have dividends from various investments saved up and RL is keeping me too buisy to play EVE-O. None the less I hope this is something I dont miss.

Even if I found this IPO worth investing in that right there would make it too much trouble to make it worth it. I can understand having some max investment, but 250 mil? A lot of people here never invest less than 1b at a time. Granted, they could do that by spreading it across all 4 races... but that goes against the idea of picking and choosing which you think will be the most profitable and it also means we'd have to track 4 separate IPO's. I'd suggest a 1b investment cap at launch per person, split any way they'd like among the 4 IPO's... but that's just me. Stacking Penalty / Resists Explained

I am buying 50% of the shares on each IPO so that I hold the controlling share at all times. Once I feel things are running smoothly, and that I have the time and the way to use more isk it may go up. For now 250mil Per IPO is Maximum. She asked me why I want to do it, which I don't have a good answer for, and then she asked me not to do it due to time restrictions. If anyone wants to use this idea please go ahead and do so, its not a bad plan, and you can make some decent isk if you do it right.
