Dunno if anyone has seen this yet. I think it looks quite good, and i tend to like Will Smith films.

That looks funny as hell. Brings a whole new spotlight to being a superhero. Unsuitable signature removed. Navgator

dosen't look particually great, I would only watch it because it has Will Smith in (as much as I was disappointed by I Am Legend)

get out of here. I am legend was better than Resident evil triology combined, The fact that we saw barely any survivors added to the survival horror genre, too bad yo udidn't like it. The ending wasn;t great, but its how it was on the book The legend, the best living dead story ever.
Hancock is due 2 July 2008 (UK),month sooner in us i presume.

oh don't get me wrong, I DID like it and what I saw was very well done and definately appropriate for the genre - I was disappointed because the film was simply far too short. By the time Will Smith died It'd felt to me like I was only 1/3rd of the way through the film, yet it was cut in a way which only makes me feel it was incomplete and dosen't even go as far as remaining open for a sequel.
Imagine if the Lord of the Rings trilogy, instead of being 9 hours long, was only a single film of 2 hours. That's what I felt happened here

You gotta check Apple.com at least once a week. They have HD versions of lots of trailers, including that one.
Filter probably won't let me link to it though.

I agree, I Am Legend was a great movie.. But the thing is, they shaped this really horrible but interesting scenario. It was kind of fascinating to see how he adapted to his new life, to see the streets overran by plants, to see animals running wild. And then there's a catalyst suddenly when he finds the doll at the trap, and within 30minutes he's basically fighting off guys at his house and dying 5minutes later.
I just wished I could see more of the movie ya know, see how they went repopulated the earth, healed the sick, rebuilt their cities. Will also didn't have to commit suicide, he could just throw the nade?

It had the usual truckload of flaws. The mutants were way too fantastic, didn't even become remotely scary since they were just too damn unreal. Less is more Hollywood, still! Also why did he wait for a clean shot on the deer? Fully automatic driveby anyone? Still a welcome addition to the dark future genre.

Maybe he didn't want to have to spend hours taking bullets out of the thing before he ate it?

Or maybe due to lead poisoning or the fact that bullets are precious when theres zombies everywhere ---

Wrong, I'd accepted answers like he didn't want to kill too much since managing all that meat would leave him exposed with a bloodtrail or having to leave food for the enemy. Bullets I'm sure he can get plenty being the only shooter left and killing more than he can eat I'm sure he could opt out of the possibly riddled ones.

This movie looks funny. It also looks like it presents superman-like strength/speed/resilience/flight in a fairly realistic way; shattering things in his wake, tearing streets up when he lands, so on. ---- One day...one day General will be worth reading.
