So that one is just starting , and you befriend him just to trick him into getting killed. How can you derive any satisfaction from it ? He never got to discover the wonders of Eve... never got to train for a bigger ship , and explore lowsec or 0.0 with it. He got a wrong first impression of the game , that he got killed for trusting you , so he's missing the bigger picture - people get killed for being there. Now we're never going to get his loot , thanks for nothing

I don't like people killing noobs either, but where is the line drawn? He didn't know exactly how old this guy was at first. "Fairly new" could be anything from a day, to a week, to a month. I've been playing for two months now, and plenty of people would call me a huge n00b.

how do you manage to play for 4 days and only have 1 ship that is "all" you have???
hell i got to where i am with nothing but an ibis (oh and 500k from a friend, but ****, thats nothing but a few hours mining) i even ended up with some lol setups, but at least never with a hull rep

People would consider me a pirate, but I do not seek and destroy brand new players. In fact, I have replaced the equipment I destroyed of a war target recently because he was a new character and I struck before I looked at his info.
I think it shows lack of skill to have pulled such a stunt.
It would have been better to allow him to grow in the game and come back another day and relieve him of better mods and such.
As stated above.....massive fail

Yes, I'd call you a "n00b", simply because you don't know how easy it is to check someone's age in the game.
So, where is the line drawn? I usually go by the guide that if they are younger than me, and flying something inexpensive, I leave them alone. I'm about your age, getting to 2 months, yet most of my targets are much much older than me. Picking on a 4 day old character will most likely just result in one less target out there, and its not like his Bantam is going to drop tech II strip miners, is it?
Seriously OP, I get so much smack in this game, full of rage and hatred - and I love it! But if you have to seek out a 4 day old character to get it... well, lets just say that you fail horribly at can-flipping. Go find yourself a nice Hulk mining ice with 5 drones out and some SP to use them, instead of griefing people who obviously are not worth the effort. There is an unwritten rule for pirates that you don't go harass the newest of the new, because you are just ensuring one less fat target for the future.
I, hated by miners all over Empire, feel nothing but disdain for you. I pity you, that this is something you think is worth sharing.

I have always paid the cost of a top tier frigate to any newbie (< 1 month ingame) that I kill.After that I share some tips of survival in low sec. And always show respect to your victim
This way you get your KM so you can enlarge your e-peen on KB, and the customer may return another day. Everyone's happy.
The trick is to be a pirate, not a moron.

U shouldnt brag about this on these forums it makes ureself look stupid,

another newb who is afraid of real pvp goes and picks on new players who are just learning to play this game.
thats why i dislike can stealers (especially those that steal from new players)
most of them sit in NPC corps or if they are in a corp.. when war decced bu a small corp of 3 they run like the wind from that corp.
ok.. i can understand from stealing from players that have played for a few months but players for a few days... camoon.... you call yourself a pirat... thats the same level as stealing candy behind your borther/sister...
so... come to low sec/0.0 and try out some real piracy... thats where the fun is.

Could we have confirmation that the victim here has left eve.... cos if not then it would be prudent for those attacking the OP to offer some advice, maybe a little isk to show that not everyone in game is nasty/evil/bad to new players.
I agree it was a cheap shot at a noob, not fair... but still funny as hell. Fanaka, if nothing else mail me the name of your vic.
As for the rest of you here, my impression of real piracy is doing whatever the hell you feel like doing at the time for your own personal gain.
However, or the vic to ignore the pop-up warnings when to took from Fan's can is dumb, and is a prime candidate for noob victim farming. (cultivate them as friends in order to kill them, again, and again, and again.....)
