Yeah, another blog.
Bitter Old Noob is my contribution to the EVE blogosphere. Who am I? Well, I am the Bitter Old Noob, one of EVE's middle children who lack the wide-eyed wonder of the noobs, or the mountains and ISK or huge influence of the truly EVE ancient. I am the veteran of two years, carebear turned pvper turned CEO turned pundit.
This is my third current outlet to contribute to the EVE community. I am currently a staff writer at EVE Tribune and a guest/contributor to the Warp Drive Active Podcast.
Despite the blog's title, I really don't see myself as all that bitter, and the real objective is to link up with some of EVE's other bloggers and have some intelligent discussion, the kind that gets trolled out or buried on EVE-O 90% of the time. The concept is still in flux, but I plan on mostly doing news and editorial pieces, focusing on my own real-world expertise of political theory and economics. Still, I plan to keep it light, most of the time. For guides and the like, I'll still be making my regular contributions to the Tribune and the WDA podcast.

This. It's meant to be my own personal thoughts on EVE and EVE related news. Sure, there is bound to be a bias based on my own experiences in the game, most of which center around being an MC member, so a little bias is to be expected (though I try to temper it with reason). If this is about comparing BoB to Fukuyama's End of History, then rest assured that I'm pretty sure I would have posted that no matter which alliance I was part of. Being in MC has just given me more insight into BoB in the last year than most have had, other than BoB members, themselves.

A few months ago it warned me that EVE was trying to inject itself into other processes, so I'm not sure if I should trust its judgement at this point.
Got a reply on SHC that said the same (also Kapersky, so may be their end). The only thing I can think of is if my counter/site tracker (http://www.sitemeter.com) is causing some kind of problem. Other than that, I honestly have no idea.

They leave me zzzzzzzz......asleep.
The sooner Eve is purged of all this NPC shyt, the better. I play eve to interact with other players and their politics. The NPC nonsense is unnecessary and detracts from Eve's entertainment value. It is a waste of both CPU cycles and storage space.
Fair enough that it's not your thing, but I am really excited about the prospects of what we could have. EVE's size and single server give you a rare insight into some macro scale interaction, and there's no reason, in my opinion, that CCP should stop short of making their NPC factions as conducive to that as possible.
