Hi all.
I have been in the game a long time now and have high LP reading, high standings with empiers and npc corps. So what left for me to do as a PvE player without getting run down by PvP players? I cant do lvl 5 missions, they are in red space and thay can probe me down (and they do) inside the missions gates and **** up my missions. High Cosmos lvl mission's are in red space. I cant run trade runs with my freigther in green space, concord and navy force is to week to protect me against pvp players. Mining i can do but its boring in the long run.
And some things i dont understand: Way can i use capital ships in green space. i know CCP have made the game that way, but way cant we? Way cant we carry secure containers in hauler ship and dock on a carrier any more? and can only carry ammo? They have destoyed the carriers ability. Way have they 2 times made it harder for BS missile ship's to use torps, and the last time made them useless?
I know that PVP is a big part of EVE, but it cant be to big and to strong, its making the rest of the communty in EVE space out in the cold or blocking it all. I know there risk to take when i fly into red space, but thats all up to me if i do or not. Way cant i have that ability in a bigger part of the game? To chose risk or no risk when i trying to play the game for fun, my fun.
If a trader in empier carring bad stuff trough a gate he or she is getting a fee and or loosing there ship, by the hands of concord and nave forces. Way cant PvP players that are attacking other ppl get a fee to A BIG one :)? And i think CCP must set a higer limit the standing. say taking actions on all ppl with standings like -0.1 and down in all yellow or green space.

This is the worst amalgamation of Eve whines I have EVER seen. 8/10 trolling though if it truly be trolling.

Ok look at it this way:
Why can't a high sec player get BS rats, huge bounties and sec/LP increases and be able to get the same kind of ISK rewards as those that risk more in low-sec/0.0?
Why can't all high sec asteroid belts have high-end ore so that people can mine in peace and get the same amount of ISK as 0.0 pilots?
Think about it. Where would everyone mine, mission, rat etc if that were the case, and what would happen to risk v reward.
btw: If you think torps are now "useless", you're using them wrong. Learn different ways to use ships and mods and then you may see benefit.

Empire space if safer, but not safe.
You are responsible for your own security, not CCP and not Concord.
Concord provide consequences but cannot always prevent the crime from occuring.
Your own decisions about how you play eve limit what you can do, if you want that to change then change the way you play.

I don't think it's hard to see that the 'end game' of eve is player-factional PvP. If YOU can pilot a cap ship in high-sec, so can the evil big bad pirates. Think about it.
Quote: Way cant we carry secure containers in hauler ship and dock on a carrier any more? and can only carry ammo? They have destoyed the carriers ability.
Because it was being abused, made no logical sense, and what do you care? You can't fly one and don't use one :)
Quote: Way have they 2 times made it harder for BS missile ship's to use torps, and the last time made them useless?
Because every other race's "high damage" weapon is short range.
Gallente: Blasters? Short range, high damage. Rails? Long range, low damage.
Minmitar: Autocannons? Short range, high damage. Artillary? Long range, low damage.
Amarr: Who cares?
Quote: I know that PVP is a big part of EVE, but it cant be to big and to strong, its making the rest of the communty in EVE space out in the cold or blocking it all.
You are out in the cold. EvE is a PvP game. Almost everything hinges on that point.
Quote: I know there risk to take when i fly into red space, but thats all up to me if i do or not. Way cant i have that ability in a bigger part of the game?
Because you choose not to.
Quote: To chose risk or no risk when i trying to play the game for fun, my fun.
You do have the choice. You've made the choice not to risk anything, so you don't gain anything.
Quote: If a trader in empier carring bad stuff trough a gate he or she is getting a fee and or loosing there ship, by the hands of concord and nave forces. Way cant PvP players that are attacking other ppl get a fee to A BIG one :)?
I don't understand that.
Quote: And i think CCP must set a higer limit the standing. say taking actions on all ppl with standings like -0.1 and down in all yellow or green space.

I'm not meaning to offend you, I don't truly understand what you're trying to say with the first line. I'm guessing you mean that you know all that risk v reward stuff, and that applies when you go to 0.0. It doesn't seem to apply to high sec though, since you don't see that the risk is that much less? It obviously is, so I would presume you are doing something wrong to get yourself attacked such as:
Presenting too good a target for people. (Either by ship type, or someone (passive) scanning your ship and determining you good for popping. Living in an area frequented by people who sit around hubs and trade lanes shooting high sec running targets. Autpiloting assuming you should be safe(r) due to the sec.
Whichever it is, many other people manage to not get popped in high sec and live in 99.9% peaceful freedom. As for low-sec issues - its much like 0.0. People will go there to shoot targets.
I really don't understand what you're failing to comprehend about the way the game works and the people that play it. Sorry.

I dunno. Probably for the same reason you can't get Epic Armor from the newbie quest NPC in Stormfront, or whatever. Noob space yields noob rewards. Noob zones yield noob rewards. Same principle as any other MMO.

Ok I think i'm beginning to see what you're getting at now.
Really you're talking about the problem of hitting a ceiling in game, a problem that many MMO's suffer from, and new content is usually introduced that usually means more levelling of skill/level/some form of pvp/pve points etc to be more powerful/get better stuff etc.
Having Cap ships in high sec for example would be lovely for high sec carebear types I'm sure. They would then have the chance to fly them right? However, the fact they can only do so is their own choice, limited by their ability and courage to go to lower sec space. Plus, it would soon also become boring.
PvE players aren't the only ones that hit this ceiling.
Many PvP players low-sec/0.0 have said the same thing. You claim space, fight some fights and then it starts to get old, you get T2, you fly Faction whatever, people hit different points in what they want and CAN achieve in the game, then get bored and drift away or desire for something else.
All I can realistically propose to you is that if you've hit your ceiling in PvE, then you probably have piles and piles of ISK laying around and nothing to do with it. Therefore take the chance of doing something slightly or radically different. Join a 0.0 corp or become a pirate - whatever. You have isk to lose and a career to fall back on should the ISK start to dry up. If you've tried ALL the options, and it's not your type of fun, then I'm afraid I can't suggest anything else than maybe take a break.
Eve is probably the only game I've come across that has a ceiling adjustment, in that you can lose everything, skill points and items. It's brutal. That's what makes risking a little from time to time a bit of a rush.
Ball is in your court though I guess.

Destroy Eve's uniquely hostile risk v. reward levels so that carebears can have the experience of flying high sec cap ships and seeing rare ore in their cargo hold? I say expletive deleted to that.

In your opinion thats low-life. In terms of a game that was originally marketed with the fact you could pirate, do you think Pirates IRL or in-game should always engage in fair fights that they may lose? Or would the sensible ones use tactics that evaluates a situation to determine the risk v reward? (Having said that, if your play style is that you throw caution to the wind as a pirate and don't really care, power to you. If that makes you happy, that's cool.)

Again no offence, your English is good but seems to sometimes confuse what you are trying to say making it hard to determine what you actually mean. That may seem like a kick in the gut to you to say such a thing, but it's a fact from my point of view and I won't mess you around or patronise you by hiding it.
There are ways to AVOID being ganked in missions and Empire space, the same way there are ways to reduce the chances of getting ganked in 0.0. It's not all or nothing, you can reduce your risks, the tools are in-game for you to use to avoid this the majority of the time, or at least reduce the likelyhood.

You do pay for your mistake. Just like RL there are laws. In-game everyone knows the rules and laws for what happens and what the penalties are for their actions.
Therefore - people DO pay. You just want to change the law to fit your own way of thinking, which is kinda selfish. As for getting lower than -0.1, depends what you do.

Sorry about my typing. Well Taking the risk by going in red space in a hauler its pu to the player me to. i know that. But when i gatting attaced in green or yellow space, when am in hauler or a freighter, thats an other thing. it is there i think the game is wrong. we have 0.0 and 0.0 to 0.4 and we have 0.5 to 1.0 way must it be so easy to gank ppl in0.5 to 1.0 when there are so many other places to do that?

My god, it's like Akira except with whines. ---------------- Tarminic - 31 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.78.2 |

No, it doesn't. What's your question about smuggling? You asked why don't PvPers get shot when smuggling? They do get shot when smuggling. They get killed when fighting in High Sec... They lose standing.
It's not me, it's you who doesn't understand how the game works.
Odd, for someone who's been playing since Castor...
Way cant pvp players get a fine when they gank ppl in high sec. Thats what i am asking. And stop shot ppl in high sec if you dont whant to loos your ship
Losing your ship and losing sec status is not large enough of a fine?
No its not enough. its up to you, when you ganking ppl in high sec. its your loos, and you dont do it if you arnt sure that you gain profit on it, so pay up.

Isn't that a bit like saying why should it be so easy for someone to get killed in the street IRL? I mean, the laws are there to deter people, but still a few people do it right? The police IRL can't always be there in an instant to attend a crime, and some crimes people get away with, totally, or the wrong person gets the blame.
Maybe EvE should be more like that. You should be able to gank in high sec, and use Fast Talk (cos that's really what the skill seems to suggest, being able to talk your way out of something) to get away and pin the blame on some poor old soul who happens to be flying by at that moment. He get's Concorded and loses Sec status.
Wouldn't you like that to happen?

If we had the same guard force in every corner in a city that we have here that see the crime going on, dont you think that things would be difrent?

Well I assume the crew of any ship being attacked in high sec sends a distress call to Concord identifying the attacker. Given the technology of the Eve universe I'd say there probably isn't a way for someone to frame anyone else for ship killing.
Not that this is particularly important.
I think I had another point to make about another issue raised in this thread but I forgot what it was.

You're doing an excellent job of answering questions with questions.
I'm not really sure of the purpose of your posting now to be honest, but I'll humor you anyway. If you translated the amount of Police in game to real life, then yes things would probably be different. That's not to say that people wouldn't get attacked at all, even in front of the police, or indeed the police themselves. It might reduce it, it won't erradicate it.
The simple fact i: You know how the laws of the game work in terms of game mechanics. You know the speed of how the Police/Navy react, and the consequences for certain actions.
You also have a wealth of tools be it ships, mods, friends - whatever, to lessen the chances of dying to ganks, especially if you have all that isk you state at your disposal.
If you can't or won't learn game mechanics in the time you've been playing - then there's little anyone can say that will help you.
You need to apply a bit of thought to things yourself I'm afraid, since you're obviously approaching the game from a totally different perspective.

I know that's what your asking, but they DO get "fined". They're "fined" their entire ship. -- Sir, I don't understand why we train for ECM, sir - in a fleet battle all you got to do is press buttons.
THE ENEMY CANNOT PRESS A BUTTON IF YOU DISABLE HIS LOCK.

Given that it's possible to evade Concord in-game and outside forces have to intervene in such cases, I think the technology of the Eve universe shouldn't be over-estimated.
No ship to station communication to talk to agents would be an example of how poor technology appears to be in the Eve universe and the beacon idea - although plausible - is pure assumption anyway.
My point was, the OP wants to have harsher consequences for high-sec ganking and make it a safe haven. I was being sarcastic in the sense that I'm sure he wouldn't enjoy a game where his hauler could have a crime pinned on him and he loses everything just because the police got the wrong man.

I get in a sec. mail that say how has killed me and involved pll, Police and navy know to. so i cant se that its so hard to make pp, pay for crime they do by paying fine with isk to. mayby they think twice baout killing ppl in green space.
I have just asked way thing are like them are to day. But i cant see i have got any answer. maybe its the wrong ppl that replaying, mayby they are scared of changes that will do things harder for them. i dont know.
I was on EVE fanfest in 2006 and talked with the dev's about abilty of hiring concord or the police for protection. could that have been a think to add to the game`?

Oh let's not forget you get kill rights too of course. (Although granted, not everyone is skilled enough to make use of them against more skilled opponenets.) What sort of Isk fine. How much would you like to see someone fined?
As for the combat log (no killmails), let's say the Police, Navy and all involved DO know, you think it would be impossible in the Eve universe to masquerade as some other pilot?

That's the way the game has evolved and no one is ever entirely safe, in-game or out. There.

Yes, it's everyone else that's the problem, it's their attitude that is wrong, not yours. Surely not eh?

Of course it could be. Would you want to extend that to low-sec then? And what kind of extra protection do you get in high-sec and how much would it cost?
The only thing I agree with really is that high-sec suicide killing should invalidate insurance, since you lost the ship through illegal acts. I would go that far for sure, however the rules are the way they are, and most people don't seem to have a problem with them.

0.0 is out of range for hiring protection. but down to like 0.2 or 0.3. The cast, its what you hirihng ligth, medium or heavy protection, and how long or how far. Ist an hiring force thats comes on top of the already gate force.
