Would like to see the following new modules:
Vampire shield - drains shield from enemy ship and adds it to your own. Vampie armor - removes armor plating from enemy ships and adds it to your own via nanites drones.
These modules can only be fitted to specialized ships (say a Logistics type or similar). Some penalty should happen like reduced cap or speed or obscene power requirements (thus specialized ships only - they have the circuitry to handle).
The shield module could be used in conjunction with a shield transfer module so it could be transfered to a third ship in your fleet.
Just some ideas to make fleet engagements and PvP a bit more interesting.
Still trying to invent a remote self destruct module, but have not yet found the proper blueprint! ----------- Lame sig |

Perhaps we could add incendiary missiles or bombs? I can't see something electronically draining armor, just like I can't imagine armor taking any powergrid or CPU to operate. Even better would be a 'Phantom' projectile weapon that 'phases' the projectile out of existence until it goes through the ship's armor, at which point it flashes back into existence and explodes. It's a bit far-fetched, but certainly better than the explanation for an armor vampire.
The other side of an armor vampire, adding armor to your own ship, has a little more merit, but the delivery system needs to be different. As with the above paragraph, what about a nanite drone bomb that covers the target vessel with them? I agree with your idea, but implementing it needs to be a bit more practical than just an armor zapper.

Vampire armor? Ahh, come on! The nanites can't carry enough armor across such a huge distance as a few kilometers or more!
Vampire shields? Maybe, but it would certainly be a disgustingly effective module unless it were a cap-eating machine, in which case a shield booster and guns works just as well.
Personally I think there is room for many new modules (sig radius reduction low power module anybody?!) but these are a bit much.

I think this is a decent idea but entirely too overpowered. Your effectively talking about something that doubles as a damage causer and self-healer. Where else did we see problems with an item like that being overpowered? Oh yes...
