During my term as CSM6 I got quite a few things done and I thought I would take time to share some of my more notable achievements with the community. There's a lot of rumor and speculation an well as disinformation and outright lies out there at the moment, mostly by Goons and Test+Pets. This is a good thing. But enough about current events, let me get to the matter at hand-bragging about what a good CSM I was.
The most fun thing I did of note was getting elected in the first place. Brendan drain of Massively wrote about me in the 'candidate roundup' He said:
"Darius III is an unknown character with no campaign focus. His campaign website is a blog with a single two-line post, and parts of his campaign thread are offensive trolling. He is running on no discernible platform and has no goals."
Despite this negativity, the players of Eve chose me over many much more well known personalities. With my special brand of electioneering, I was still able to place as last place alternate outing many dedicated players. I was able to get many people to vote for me who didn't even know that there was an election in the first place. Thanks solely to my efforts-these people cast the ballots that allowed my narrow victory.
I did quite a bit of bug reporting and bot flagging. I found three truly game breaking glitches and reported them to CCP. In one of the cases the exploit was so severe that they had a virtual CTA at CCP to get it fixed. It allowed you to get over well 20,000 DPS with a standard battleship. Another bug allowed you to kill people in High security space without Concord responding. Also I reported hundreds of bots-primarily "hauler macros" that do empire missions requiring courier work. Most of them are still online, hauling for 9 hours a day getting free ISK.
I got close to 1500 kills, primarily in small fleets while fighting outnumbered in hostile space. I suicide ganked over 100 Pods in Jita during this time as well. Working with various teams of gankers we killed 300 Bn in suicide kills/non-pods. I also found a way to revive wreck baiting and made it viable again resulting in 2,000+ kills by the pilots and corps I taught the method to. During this period I managed to climb into the top .05% of all combat pilots as recorded by Battleclinic.
I scammed other players out of over 25 Billion ISK in addition to countless ships, mods and even a few PLEX. I was able to get more tears this year than almost anyone in all of Eve, and many of the tears were from Goons and Test-whose tears are usually medical grade and have advanced many pathogenic research projects and cured diseases the world over. I also lured 40+ Faction Battleships to their doom doing fake "Non-rep logi" fleets in incursion systems. I successfully trolled Goons and Test into thinking I would "Freeport" the Brick systems in Delve-they were furious and many lols were had at their expense.
Perhaps my most notable achievement was becoming the only player in the history of New Eden to be deliberately podded by CCP Pilots. They have podded two orther people, but I was the only one killed with non-area of effect weapons. It happened in the CCP fleets before Christmas, and Brick Squad ninja looters recovered 16% of all Plex dropped in the first fleet.
I attended the 'Emergency Summit' in the Summer of 2011 as Delegate because some of the CSM were not able to attend. While travelling to Iceland and when I was there, I was able to accomplish a laundry list of feats:
Skirted the long customs line by requesting and receiving wheelchair assistance. Protip > A cane is a great prop for dealing with queues/security and cheap too!
Made out with three Icelandic women, the first of which was after only being in country for 102 minutes.(She was, as many may point out-exceptionally big boned) Only one of the three spent a night with me in the hotel, but we all had fun together. And FYI none of the women were paid. Iceland doesn't have strip clubs so I had to improvise...
Additionally, I trolled CCP and CSM by giving them gifts. I did give genuine gifts to a few guys, but the troll gifts were a $300 Giant Oversize monocle to CCP so they can always remember their mistakes with Nex store, and Nerds brand candy to the CSM. I don't think I need to explain why they are appropriate. One of the CCP employees let my put the Monocle on the CCP awards wall and sent me pictures of myself next to it. It sat just under 2009 MMO of the Year award. You should have seen the face of that bigwig guy, the Dev who talked about $1,000 jeans and sent a nasty Devblog followed by an apology. I think he was mad.
I also was able to consume the entire contents of the Minibar in my hotel room-in one sitting, as well as drinking a total of 50+ beers and more than 25 shots. I did this in four days and no nights-since it was light round the clock at that time of year. I had Whale Steaks for my dinner and lunch Two times and used that fact to troll many Non-Eve people. When I told peolpe I ate whale steaks-the people who were mortified-I told them "Dude it is OK there are ALMOST 500 of those whales left!!!"
I managed to do all this and much more in the last 10 months-and Goons, Test and the other CSM members say I didn't accomplish anything at all-HA! CCP and even the CSM have a lot of hardworking men and women who are very intelligent, working on making New Eden a better place-it is CCP management that I fear the most. |

To be honest I always thought DIII was an arse hole, but on reflection he has a unique style and does represent a distinct group of players.
In his own way he really did accomplish things no other CSM rep could have, his out of the box thinking and ability to have fun in this game are actually a credit to EVE, The CSM and CCP

Whenever people are asked to vote, they usually choose the candidate that is competent and smart at what they do. Most people know D3 as someone who messes with incursions, and ganks. Well, if you look at what he does in eve, he fills that role as "competent and smart at what he does". You don't know him because of his failures. And if im voting in an election that represents the EVE player base, id want someone in there who knows the ins and outs of the game so that they can be made fair for everyone. Put aside your bias for a moment and you will see that this man knows what the hell he is doing and will prove to be a strong representative for the EVE player base. +1 vote from me |

If I know Darius like I think I do, he deserves a place in CSM. I believe him when he says the other CSM "speak in muffled voices from the end organ of mittani's digestive tract"
He has invented new scams many times and is among the games top griefers. I know he supports reasonable progress for Hi-Sec war dec alliances, scammers and griefers everywhere. If you ever have flown with him, you know he is capable, smart and never fails to get laughs. Definetely an asset to the player base.

Exactly this, you may not like his game play, but he does know his game and he plays it better than just about anyone else. You do indeed have to look beyond your bias and you own play style and vote for someone who pushes gameplay to the max.

Apparently he can think INSIDE the box too-if rumors about his Iceland trip are credible. Hopefully we can get some more altposting in here and brighten up this subforum a bit. Good read and knowing you-it's all true.

OK, that's what you've accomplished in game, and in your conquests in Iceland.
What have you accomplished that was enabled by you being a CSM member - to wit, how will you remaining on the CSM benefit Eve Online? As far as I can tell, we could replace you in the CSM discussions with a tub of lard, and you'd still have accomplished your masterful trolling, and the CSM would have been no worse off in its interaction with CCP. |

This application text is just hilarious
Up to now the only thing I knew about Darius is that Mittani and probably most of the other CSM hate him. Also of course the abundant if unproven accusations that he leaked classified information. I naturally assumed that he is some kind of carebear opposed to suicide ganking and all things evil. Guess I was wrong...
I wonder though, why exactly are D3 and Mittani hating each other? Must be personal chemistry, because their playstyle seems somewhat similar. |

Any gaps in his accomplishments as CSM are not a result of lacking efforts, but rather an example of what he is up against. We will not make progress in these areas by removing those fighting the good fight, simply because they don't have the needed support around them on the CSM board. We need more CSM's like Darius III to help him push for the changes this game needs.
In my experience Darius III is an exceptional player with an eye for the fundamental problems that plague EVE, and a desire to fix them. More importantly, he's good for a laugh |

Well from all I can gather, D3 was sidelined in CSM6 and CSM6 was the best CSM ever, so I won't vote for him because he cannot have been that important for its success.
Also, if his stories are true he is a real **** in RL, which I do not really endorse when all is said and done. So I won't vote for him.
