"Oh my God, this is real"
No more fan fair, you hear the 'woop woop woop" of the auto lock, start targeting them back as target you. You have this sudden urge to run. Your thoughts going a mile a minute. For the most quantam of moments, you forget everything you were doing.
I fire the microwarp drive, get in close. Throw in the webber. Hold still, i need one shot.
You call on all that you had planned. you do things exactly as you thought you would. Get close. Release the drones.
You click all your guns, trying to somehow will them to do more damage and faster.
Then, should all things go right, you deal with the changes in battle. Its all over, you hear the loud crash. its destroyed.
you sit there, knowing theres nothing more to fear. your body relaxes, the sweat emerges from beneath the skin. your hands shake from the chemical concoction that was flooding your veins. Its over, and your still alive.
Eve was able to invoke emotions in me that life does. it reminded me of mortality. it was able to throw at you the same sensations, stimuli, and enviorment that surronds real life combat. you kill, or get killed. there is no coming back.
This is why i think eve is the greatest game ever.
An AMAZING game and expiernce, anyone else feel like this? ---
all the time, thats why i put up with the lag and all the utter crap that can happen in this game. Only time i have gotten that addrenaline rush was playin Rainbow Six TD, in tournaments/klan matches. There is just so much excitement, my first solo gank was in a raven and i was gankin inties : ) yeah sounds stupid but i was drenched in sweat as I wagered my 100mil ship and just threw it out there in battle.
The next step is when you FC, and now you not only have your ship but that of your m8s in your hand. Talk about a bad day when you get people killed? Thats the next step. No matter how many fights, no matter how big or small the battles, I always get that physical response to the game play. Get ready, its a wild ride if you stick it out and learn.
