No. They don't require any spec skill, so they don't get the bonus.

No, they are affected by the sentry drones, drone interfacing, drone durability, and drone sharpshooting skills. I may have missed a skill, but I don't think so.

so, unless sentry damage augmentor is fitted, they do less damage then heavy drones due to no bonus from specialization?

Well, unless 8 drone nav computers are fitted, they do more damage... because they start firing instantly.
It's situational, really. Also, there's no travel time for scooping. ;-)

Though you should remember that heavies have sig of 100, compared to 400 for sentries.

Nav Computers affect drone speed, how do they possibly boost sentries? Unless you mean the Omni Tracking Link, but that affects range and tracking. You Am Confuze Me

No, I meant drone nav comps - so that the heavies can get into range and start shooting.
Sentries, OTOH, start shooting instantly. It's the same reason that guns are generally prefered over missiles for shooting at range.

Funny thing is that from what I've read drone nav computers would work on sentries as sentries do, very very slowly, move around.
Of course multiple 25% boosts, with stacking penalties I imagine, on a speed of like 1m/s or less is about as pointless as mounting tachyons on a typhoon.
