I'm not going into details about recent blogs and stuff announced therein as this is not what was asked for. Generally I think the DEVs are totally able to take a certain amount of... hm... "heat" and also do expect it. At the point of personal attacks it has to stop somewhere for sure. Absolutely agreed. The slight difference might be between stating "CCP screwed me over and over" and "CCP XYZ screwed me over and over" to give a slightly fictional example.

I seriously doubt simply deleting the post will do. If people do want to troll, they'll simply repost. So nothing won but more work for the moderator. I'm agreeing that a set of rules for replies to DEV blogs stated in advance would be a good incentive. Thus the DEV "in command" of that blog could even individually modify those rules to what he is willing to take... or not.
In case of an obvious personal attack/totally off-topic comment/"First!" post, bring down the banhammer. Fast and hard. Delete the post and state that the user in question lost his complete forum access for 24 hours. And ban him for those 24 hours. I'm not claiming to know how you operate the forums, so I'm not sure if you could limit that ban to certain sections or not. My additional suggestion would be to make sure that everyone knows that this "hard" handling is only viable for DEV blog threads, though.

Censorship by its strict definition would be something else. It's not like the inaedequate post didn't ever make it. It just got deleted/moderated. And as the EVE-O forums are moderated (I'm not going into detail on CAOD here ), people might whine about censorship anyway (and do). But as it is in the end not their personal forum but one provided under a set of rules for the community by CCP... so what? Don't like it, well, good riddance, go troll elsewhere!. If the DEV in question handling the blog did state what he wants as feedback and the borders what he is willing to take in terms of abuse in advance, that should do. If some people still start whining about censorship, 4 well-known letters will suffice: "RTFM"
